Check out these posts on another forum for more feedback:

MAKO or LXT - Softball Fans

    CF5 vs. CF6 ( Discuss Fastpitch )

My daughter has the 2014 LXT and loves it. She had a 2012 CF5 and still has a 2013 Xeno. I've only been able to do soft toss with her but the ball just shoots off the bat better than her previous bats. The LXT sounds almost hollow like an Axe hitting wood compared to the Xeno's breaking china sound. We have some scrimmages next week so I'll be able to judge the LXT's performance better then.

I like the website "The Coach Reviews":
Reviews & Rankings: Fastpitch Softball Bats Gloves Masks Coaching DVDs | thecoachreviews.com
    e
The Coach makes his reviews for all of the most common bats out there today. Plus there are also user ratings for most bats. I like the fact that he make recommendations based on the type of hitter you are, contact hitter vs. power hitter, and he notes certain bats are not suited for everyone (end loaded). And there are reviews of models from the last several years if you are looking at closeouts deals.

There is an incredible amount of info here and the website can be confusing I think. But I find it very useful.

A couple girls got the new LXT on our team and love them, they do sound different than the Xeno but still pop off the bat with little effort. I don't think you can go wrong with either the LXT of CF6.

My DD plays college ball and just got her Easton Mako. She loves it. Says she can barely feel the ball hit the bat. It has a noticably soft/quiet sound, but the ball still flies. Huge sweet spot. If anything changes, I will update this post. If it can hold up to the rigors of college ball, it MAY be worth the money.

My DD has been hitting her Mako for 2 weeks now, and has asked me to sell every other bat in her bag in order to get her another as a back up. Ball just comes off nicer than her other Stealth models.

Anyone interested in an Easton SRV4B 31/21 or an Easton SCN2B 31/22 that are for sale?

I have been battling buying different bats for my daughter for years. What I have learned, find a place to let her try the bat out. In the beginning I would go out and buy what I thought was a good bat because of reviews on manufacturers websites, internet store reviews and most importantly the great people here. When it was all said and done, and about four different bat manufacturers later, I can't even count how many models of each we went through (all the big names) she ended up with one that was NOT on my list. She liked swinging it. She said it felt good. She said she felt like she could really get around on it. The other bats she I picked out that she tried she always came up with an excuse about what she didn't like about it. I finally thought that she swung better because she was happy with what she had in her hands. Having your head right in the box is by far the most important thing when it comes to hitting (I think most of us agree, right?) If she was happy with a bat even though I may not of been and it's still composite, who am I to shove my brand on her?

What if she was happy with aluminum?
