Irish Yankee,

You forgot one major player at Springfield. The Gibson kid. In all my years of watching in NWO I'd be hard pressed to find a better overall athlete. And remember she's still learning the game. Ran Into Springfield coach while back and he said she's getting some D-1 looks. Do Clay and Springfield play in the regular season this year ? If so, Wow and when ?

You can move Rockman to DH and you forgot Gibson in RF, Patrece had a .400 avg for her first year back in organized softball after a three year absence.

Forgot about Gibson, she can be a game breaker!
As for centerfield, I think I would have to put Crawford from Clay and Damman from Southview ahead of Shipman as they both can hit AND run extremely well, along with being very good centerfielders.

Eryn Simon...Clay 2B, in my opinion the best defensive/offensive combination of any 2B in the area. City League player of the year 2009 and 1st team all-state. However, I give the nod to Springfield over Clay, JMHO. I have no real reason, just a "feeling."

According to Springfield's online schedule, they play Clay in the NLL/TCL Challenge on 4/24.

Southview...Will need to fill void left by four year catcher Shelby Schuster. They also lost pitcher Sarah Haynam and Shelby's sister at first Amanda. Certainly they return a nice core group for the new coach to work with.

Uber....Genoa returns 8 starters and both pitchers and loses 1 player from the varsity roster. The entire team played travel ball in a few tournaments last year and then went their seperate ways on other travel teams. Should be a great year. We have high expectations. Let me know if you need any further info.
