16u Seed Order

Unfortunately, due to the rain on Friday, the 16u brackets were dropped and converted to straight pool
play. The Stingray tournament's goal is to showcase as many players talents as possible. The resulting
pool play format provided much more opportunity for players to be seen demonstrating their skills in front
of the college coaches.

Following is an adjusted seed order which determined the champion based on points earned from pool play.
Thanks goes out to all teams, coaches and families for making the Stingray Showcase a success this year!

1. Ohio Lasers 94
2. Ohio Classics Black
3. Ohio Ice

Again thanks to Rudy and everyone involved with putting this tournament on. In my opinion it is the Premier tournament in Ohio and the feild of teams never disappoints.

Their communication was excellent on Friday when dealing with the weather, they were always excessable and scores and standing were always updated. We also appreciate Rudy's and the saff's concern with our injured player who had to make a trip to the hospital. Class act.

Congrats to the Lasers 94 on the Championship. That was a great game we had early Sunday morning and I wish we could tee it up every week. Best of luck on the rest of your season.

Lasers White played Indy Dreams Montgomery in last game not the New Era team. Scores are right just wrong teams. Indiana Velocity played New Era. The Indianan teams preferred to play someone from another state so we switched teams.

eagleone that Saturday night game was an awesome one as well. What a great atmosphere and it was nice to get in a 7 inning game. Your pitcher was the best that we saw all weekend in my opinion. You have a great team there and your team is impressive to say the least. We appreciate the opportunity to play those kind of games back to back.

I got on the website and noticed the records of some teams only show four games listed, while others had five games - am I going to the wrong place? We had a great time at the tourny - nice job Stingrays - as always!!!

Not all scores are listed. Our last game on Sunday is not listed, for example. Perhaps as things wound down and champion was decided interest was lost.

Mission accomplished, many competitive games, lots of softball and primping for coaches, for all.

The staff had a tough time chasing down some of th scores from the fianl round of games. Coaches were responsible to bring a score sheet to the scorers table and my guess is that for the last round of games some teams failed to do that. Therefore they had to get a hold of one of the coaches from those games to confirm the final standings. In the end they got all the scores but it was not right at the end of the final round. I know because I we were up there for a while after the final round of 16U games.

Rudy did post the final standings on the website ultimately.

Rich, how is the little girl that left in the ambulance, was watching a game and saw them take her away? She looked in alot of pain? Hope she is better.

Hey gannon thanks for asking. She is doing fine. They released her late sunday and we will have to keep a close eye on her this weekend for sure. Ironically we had another one of our players suffer a concussion in that last game and she will be out for a couple weeks.

This has been a weird year man. We have yet to have a full 11 player team available for one single game. One of our starters has not played one game yet this season (hoping she will be back this weekend) and our leadoff hitter and 2B has been out since the Lasers tournament and likely for the rest of the season. Hopefully we can keep them all healthy this weekend. :)
