Can you quote the part where I posted negatively about the dis-branded team? Also, what part of my comment led you to believe we considered playing for the dis-branded team?
I have been around this sport for a very long time. I have experienced great successes in that time without resorting to any of these sorts of behaviors that I commonly witness with my own eyes and read about on this site. I get many calls from my friends and those that I respect in this sport about concerns they have about the direction that some of the things are going with our sport. For instance, why is "re-branding" so popular this year in our area and is it necessary? I can report to you that there are many organizations both inside of Ohio and all the way across the country that are PROUD of their names that do not signify "regionality" or add some "super man adjective" to make them sound better. That is their choice to do but I am here to tell you the TRUTH based on experience and here it is...you don't NEED to! As an example...Chicago Bandits are very respectable but they do not call themselves the "Illinois Bandits"...they are PROUD of the "CITY" that they identify with and that is enough for them because of the QUALITY of what they do. I could also name off MANY independent teams over the years that were not associated with a large organization but achieved great success due to the quality of the players and coaches involved. TODAY those coaches are scooped up by organizations trying to build credibility and they go to them but they don't have to do it. I am telling you that if you are a great coach that draws players you could remain independent and compete with ANY of the top organizations out there...JMHO.
