These were some of my favorites my DD either played at or I coached or watched games at:

* Orrville (Fire in the Sky)
* Loudonville
* Aunt Rosie's (near Niagara Falls)
* Columbus, Georgia (Olympic Stadium)
* Firestone Stadium

I'll probably remember some others as other posters list them.

Best Parks
Grand Park, Westfield IN (except for the walk)
Tyger River, Spartanburg, SC
Louisville Slugger Complex, Peoria Ill

Best Destinations
Colorado-There’s honestly nothing like playing ball with mountains in the backdrop.

Aunt Rosie’s- less than 30 min from Niagara. We went up early at 14u & stayed on the Canadian side of the falls & had a mini vacation. Great trip

It’s far but... North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex as well as Cal Ripken in South Carolina are both great. The Marathon Diamonds in Findlay Ohio are also well laid out in a unique way we hadn’t seen before.

There are many complex's down south that are way better than mine but for a Northern States Complex I think ours is pretty good.
I think the grass was a little dry when this picture was taken! lol

All our games are played here.

While far from the best facility we've played at, I want to recognize the unique nature of the Athens Sandlot park. Each of their diamonds is fenced in a way to recreate (on a smaller scale) a historic MLB park. They've got the Polo Grounds, Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, etc. It's a really cool touch and something I'd love to see one of the higher end facilities adopt.

Another really nice facility we have played at is Wear Farm City Park in Pigeon Forge. SEAA hosts its World Series there and the facility is top notch. Nothing really tops pulling into the Hall of Fame Complex in OKC knowing your daugther is about to play there.

I know I will get yelled at for this, but we have a great complex in Berliner.
Columbus is Home to the largest softball/ baseball complex in thecUSA.
Yes, there is thieves, but they are making changes to hopefully detour and prevent it, if you have gone past recently all the shrubs and fence are cleared out on the Freeway side. A huge wall/ fence is going up.
Security cameras and more police officers will be there.
Within 3 years, 9 more turf fields, a complexyou won’t believe is going to be completed. Things that only the top complexes will ever have.
They have listened. The parking money does go back in. And no matter what any TD tells you. Berliner NEVER requires a Stay to Play !!

We played at a lot of very good venues.
To make the top list....

Well groomed infields fields and outfield
200 ft fencing
covered dugouts
Pitching warm up area
Restrooms and concessions
Availability to do other activities when not playing.
Ohio has some decent venues but after playing out of state none make the top five.

My list:
Nashville TN Drakes Creek Park
QDS South at Winthrop University
Elgin Ill sports park
Chattanooga Tenn Frost stadium complex
Sevierville Tn community park ... Now its a sewer plant...

I will say while no Ohio event made the best Venue The ASA 16U event in Finley Ohio Marathon Diamonds and some community park down the road had competition that was very good and IMO matched up with the GA, FLA, IL, NJ, TN powerhouse teams we played.

Interesting you consider Elgin Sports Park. Most absoulutely hate that place. It is dodging bombs in WW2 the way foul balls leave the fields.

Elgin is ok. I think of it on the same level as Kettering Fields myself. We actually joked about how nice the parks we played at were last summer because Kettering Fields & Elgin were the 2 worst complexes we played at & we almost never played at parks as nice as them at 10u & 12u.

You must not have ever looked at the rules for the world series at Berliner.

Absolutely hate Elgin Sports Complex (Sparks Tournament). Foul balls everywhere, you better hope it doesn't rain and it's always dusty as heck (unless it rains a little). Don't even get me started on the parking situation.

I would like to play golf at the course entrance but that's about it.
