As long as his oldest player was 9 years old on Jan 1st they are a 2013 season 9u. A mute point really all the tournamanets they will play in will be 10u. Hard to find a 9u division.

Ferringo - I agree but let's say that his 4 10s are '02 birthdays which mean they will move up next year and he has a total of 10 girls, should they still be called an 03 team! I agree they will be playing in all 10u tournaments but I just don't understand if half your team is 02 bday and half is 03 why you would want to be classified as an 03

If even 1 player is an 02 the whole team is 02. So yes if he has any 02 birthdays they are 10U. I dont think that is the case. They are 10 as of now but not on Jan 1. I could be wrong.

Then we are on the same page, so lets wait and hear from the stingrays coach on how many 02 birthdays he has, my guess is 4! And we know he is on here!

Let me chime in on this if you have any 02's on your team then you are a 02 10U not an 03 9u. Seems pretty fishy to me!!!!!!

ok fine, they are 9.5u... geesh...

Looked like a good bunch of good folks and clearly are teaching and doing great things. It appears they cleared up the roster issues and his rationale stated on this forum. Shoot, this being a first year team I'd say all is well-known now.

I agree and since there has not been an answer I will assume that half the roster is 02 birthdays, I was only asking why title the team as an 03 team??

Personally I do not understand it, so was just curious!

Sooo glad the 10U days are behind me. I would recommend taking a Prozac, and saving the 3rd degree for when the girls drive themselves to a 12U tourney.
