Thunder Elite 10U was at The Maple leaf East tournament in Streetsboro this weekend. We went 1-2-1. We got the 4th seed in the Gold bracket.

I want to give a shout out to all the teams we played... Very well coached girls.

Rapture was in Streetsboro for the Maple Leaf East Tournament

Gold Bracket play was cancelled due to rain. Very disappointing for our girls that after 20 minutes of rain (no standing water), the TD did not want to finish bracket play. Numerous options available and they choose none.

Rapture will be at Laser Nation this upcoming weekend. Good luck to all teams involved.

Stingrays 05 were in Kentucky Bandit Bash this weekend going 7-0 taking the Championship.

I have to say after the way we were treated at Bat Wars that we will not be returning anytime soon. We were in a good game with Fury with over 30min left on the clock in the 4th inning and had a lightning delay. We came back from the delay and they said game over you lose! Down 5-1 after 4-1/2 Fury was probably going to beat us anyway, but we didn't get a chance to bat in the 4th and still had a lot of time left. I just didn't appreciate the TD ending the game that the winner was going to the championship. Don't get me wrong Fury is a tough team, nothing to do with them, they were first class all the way and a great group of girls. Just seemed a little messed up they wouldn't let us finish! See everyone at Lasers!

I feel everyone's pain regarding the cancellations due to rain. I was just telling someone the othe day how much better most softball tournaments are about this than baseball tournies. . We've had 3 Baseball tournaments this year for our son where all Sunday play has been cancelled with no refunds and no attempts to even try to get the games in. Lol. We've had rain in the past two softball tournies and I have to give major props to both of the organizations that ran them for getting the games in. I personally don't think it's the TD making these calls. It's the organization putting on the tournie and that usually goes back to how much help they have on hand to maintain the diamonds. The TD is likely just taking direction from the org on the status of the fields. The Hilliard Memorial Day tournie did great keeping the diamonds in good shape regardless of the rain. This past weekend, LGSA did great as well getting all the games in between the rain. Kudos to both organizations for all of their effort.

Roadrunners 05 were off this weekend. Congrats to our local team here in Zville on winning the Marion Ohio tournament. (Loco Mamacita 06) Hoping for great weather this weekend at Lasers Nation.

Ohio Ice Blue went 5-0 and won the Valley Extreme Summer Starter.

Ship was called due to rain but Ice was named winner per official ASA rules and per unofficial coin flip. Ice is off next weekend. Good luck to all those playing!!!

Had 3-0 lead on Rapture after 1 1/2 innings (we were home team) when Tournament was called due to Rain.

Coach Mike, thanks for the kudos. I know our Loco ladies were really looking forward to playing against their friends with Roadrunners 05 this past weekend in the John Wells tournament but things did work out well for us going to Marion and finishing 6-0. Good luck at Lasers Nation and bring another trophy back to Zville.
