9 innings?!?!?! WOW! Tip of the hat to both teams!
In Toledo, The WarCats and Thunder Elite are both 4-0 through pool play. The TE will be the 1 seed based on runs allowed. Super pitching and defense here. Still amazed at how good the quality of play is at 10U this year. I have not seen such parity in a long time.
This is all due to outstanding coaching, right?

Lasers red won Uncle Stans this weekend, defeating North Coast Spirit saturday 6-1, Valley extreme today 12-0, and Lake erie diamond Chix 12-2 in championship game.

Congrats to Don and Kevin. As always we have a good time BS'n and hope to see guys again.
Kinda wish we could have played the Fire better but they were stronger and made it passed us. Fire and Ice are both a great group of young'n's and coaches.

Congrats to the Miamisburg Sting as well for a big win over the Hawks in the first round of bracket play Sunday morning.

Agree'd .. the Sting took advantage of our play in the first inning and built a nice lead that we could not overcome... and Rylie their pitcher threw a great game.. She is really coming on strong!
We left the tieing run in scoring postion with our #2 hitter at the plate. I told our girls to not look past them, they are a good team, but they really wanted to play the ICE next and it cost us.
Lesson learned for our kids and coaches.. you have to come to play on Sunday morning. It was their first Sunday loss this season. I was actually proud that the girls took losing early well, no crying, overly upset, they knew they had been beaten and took it well. Hopefully, it will re-focus them for this weekend.

thanks gregg (sudden death). it's nice to see us (ice, nitro, static, hawks) all at the same tournament every now and again. That ohio fire team is definitely for real, with their combination of hitting and pitching---i'm sure their in every game.
good talking to you lester, hope the season continues to be a success. i think it's a surprise to some people that coaches on opposing teams can actually be friends, really it's all about building memories. For our kids and us as coaches. Playing at a high level, or at least trying to, is everyone's goal but in the end most of us will keep the memories created by this travel ball "thing".
Speaking of memor.........Dink, Jamie & Todd,,,,,,,, try not to stir things up at the hotel next time. that hotel receptionist definitely pressed the "nuke" button on you guys. asking a rude person's name can really stir thinks up. talk about koo-koo!! way to take care of business on the field nitro. See ya saturday.
