I've really enjoyed reading the previous posts from the 12U coaches!! This seems like a deep and passionate group of Teams that will represent Ohio well in the coming years.
On a side note...I will respectfully disagree with OHSoftball and CoachLucas on Friendly's. We have a saying that I brought to the 01 group when I dropped back down to 10U in 2012...there is nothing Friendly about a Friendly. With this being said...yeah we bat our lineup...yeah we rotate different pitchers in different games. But if we have a real paid umpire...we are playing to win...and win or lose ...it counts on our season record and the stats count on our season stats. I like to use our first weekend Friendly when we moved up to 13U as an example...we played Classics 00 and they spanked us 12-4...and no excuses...it went straight on our record and the 12 earned runs went straight on our pitchers stats. My point is, from a competition standpoint, our friendly's were some of the most fierce battle's and our opponents approached these games with the same mindset.
