John:

Our game Saturday morning got reschedule to Friday night to give the Gold team coaches and parents the ability to set up all of the fields for morning games - since its there tournament, Jeff was really thinking about the amount of work they have to do Saturday morning when he scheduled the 8:30 game. So, we are playing at 7:00 Friday night.

Mike

How convenient is it that the two 12U Lasers teams, who were scheduled to play 3 pool games plus an elimination game just like all the other teams in this tourney, have moved there game from Saturday to Friday Night. So now they only play 2 pool games an elimination game on Saturday. What a huge advantage for both teams. I believe this is their own tournament as well. Things that make you go ?HMMMM?. Why not offer the same thing to some of the other teams? Why is everyone not playing a game on Friday? And I know for a fact that other teams were NOT offered this convenience. And a very last minute change as well. Have been involved in setting up several big tournament, you prep the fields Friday night to be ready on Saturday. Lasers 1 - other teams 0, before the tournament ever even starts.

Schedule does not matter. In every tourney you can look at the pools and brackets and say one team has it easier than another, but then it does not turn out the way you think it would. Speaking for Doom 96 and I'm sure the other teams as well, we did not get in this tournament because it would be easy. We want to challenge the girls against the best to see what we are made of and where we need to improve.

Mike and I are friends and my comments about the schedule change were just to give him a playful hard time. As everybody knows, the Lasers do not need any help on the field.

Wishful thinking, if I find out you are part of Doom 96, your DD will not be much longer. I do not condone hiding behind screen names or bashing other organizations. Let the girls play, as I guarantee not one of them cares if a game is played Friday night or not.

Also, at least for our team, playing on a Friday is a big inconvenience to a lot of families.

Not sure it is right to threaten a parent for this. It will only hurt the girl unless you know who it is and there is other problems with this parent. But it is your team and your choice. i just think a lil harsh. JMHO

I deleted my original post in which I stated that playing the Gold team was not much of a break. Also I know for my dd game on friday night I had to take a day off work.

We feel the same way John. And, if I didn't get the occassional jab from you and Bruce - I'd think something was wrong - it's what makes what we do fun.

The rest of the chatter is just noise and doesn't even warrant a comment.

Jemi and Tangy Mike, I agree . Me and Mike have been and will continue to be the best of friends it wouldnt be any fun if we both didnt take a little poke at each other once and while now would it ?? Is playing 1 less pool game on a different day an advantage ? Well yes of course but here is the answer - who cares ! Whereever you go it happens so just deal with it ! I for 1 cant wait to play IMHO the 2- best 12u teams in the midwest in Laser's Gold and Indiana Thunder 96 (i hope that Thunder's #1 pitcher is back because she is very special! ) This weekend will be fun !! Mike hope to see you tonight !

Just like you PCABA coach I am allowed to have opinion and can voice it freely. Teams that are not as deep in pitching would have loved to play on Friday night. At least it would have been nice to be offered to play Friday night.

Where's everyone at this weekend?

I know Lasers Gold and Doom 96 are at Compuware. We (Lasers Black) are playing up at 14U in Westerville. Where is everyone else?

Hey Vipers,

Good luck this weekend. Had hoped to see you at a tournament this summer, but don't know if it's going to happen.

Mike - Good luck in Westerville. Maybe we can meet at the ASA States in Fostoria.

The 97 team is heading up to the FAST Farley Memorial this weekend to get some kinks worked out.

Heat 97 - We earned our berth to ASA Nationals at the NQ in Toledo a couple weeks ago. So as a result, we won't be playing in the States in Fostoria.
