I was being sarcastic. ?I agree with you 100% on to be the best you have to play, and beat, the best. ?Its why my dd plays on this level to begin with. ? Polls are funny though in that most teams with good won/loss recs think they belong even though its been against competition that usually does not include the top 10-15 teams. ?Sometimes they do belong in the poll, most of the time not though. ?Our girls won 24 games in a row to start the tournament season. 4 tournament wins. ?Now if we had to consistently play the teams listed in the top 10, or just out of the top 10, game after game, theres no way they ever would've won 24 in a row. ?So while our won/loss record is incredible at this moment, I'm objective enough to know where alot of those 24 wins came from. ?I'd say a third of those games came against teams in the top 10, or against teams I believe would be in the top 10 if they were from Ohio. ?But the other 2/3 were against teams that would not be listed. ? The coaches/parents that complain about not being on there or not as high as they'd like really need to check why they're involved in this sport for young ladies. ?
Noticed though someone gave us 1 10th place vote? ?WHAT!!!!? ? Are the voters crazy? ?When are people going to start giving our girls their just due? ? ?
?just kidding. ?Seriously, I'm kidding. ?I don't even want our girls to show up on that poll. ?We're from PA anyways. ? You couldn't pay me to want to be the #1 team in the poll. ?You become a target. ?The tank. ?I'd rather be the sniper. ?If it meant something like seeding into the nationals or something then I'd care of course. ?People need to realize that it doesn't. ?Just adds more pressure to win. ?Even more pressure if you're one of the teams complaining about where your team is at on the poll or is not on the poll. ?Setting themselves up for a big letdown when they do finally get to play a top team. ?Just play the games, teach the girls how to play, and let them have some fun.
