12u Poll Week 1

Maybe the Lasers voted for the other team out of respect and humility-not wanting to vote for themselves.

Doug, I'd have to say that your team and Gray are capable of beating Red, and are interchangeable at #2 and #3.

The other team that received a first place vote, or the rest of the top 10 teams for that matter, I don't feel are capable of beating Red. Ever.

EVER

I knew Matt liked that one...

I think the vote we got was a mistake or in my mind it must have been. I personally am a fan of the Lasers and all of the teams mentioned in the top 10. I voted my team in the top 10 but not as high as it is shown. We are beat up pretty bad right now and have 2 girls still playing varsity in KY. So, as the chips have fallen this poll will change. I have lots of respect for Matt's Classics and their game overall! Doug's too! Haven't seen Grey but hear it's a great team. Stingrays and Nitro all get the same "word on the street"... very solid and ready to bust heads with anyone. Point is, a lot of good teams in the top and it's "Red's" game to lose. I'm in favor of someone pulling the "1" off my team for I'm certain we aren't deserving of that number. Even Laser's purple is a solid team we faced in the Fall. Lots has changed I'm sure for them and us.

Now... we plan on obtaining the highest level of play we can regardless of the polling, if we play well and can stay healthy. After all, that's why we do this!!! Good luck to all!!!

Hey my dragons 99 played the classics 98 in the championship this weekend and think they are very capable of beating anyone with the speed and the new pitcher from wv.

It will be interesting to see how these polls look in a couple weeks...i've heard that one of the top teams is loosing a pitcher due to the family moving and that team is currently shopping other teams pitchers to prepare for her replacement.

Lock down the hatches - Coach will be looking to raid the chicken coops around here.

An incredible opportunity for a VERY talented young lady. I personally wish her nothing but the best of luck and I hope she knocks them dead. :)

I think it is really way to early to know who is top 10 but with that said......

Nitro will be a tough game for anyone. Stingrays 98 look good and in Y-town with limited innings due to rain thier pitching looked good and the coach is not afraid to take chances at the plate and on the bases. I heard Lenos looked good against the Heat 13's.

Rumor mill is saying the big unit from red may be heading to Cali. They are deep but that will hurt. Time will tell. The gray is playing well and we know they are working hard.

i think there are a couple pretty strong 11u teams. Laser purple of course. Drangon's are pretty agressive. Singrays looked ok but a little inconsistent. At the end of the day I think the experience of the better straight 12's will keep them out of the finals in most "good" tournaments but they will be good games.

That is my summary as a full time "looker" part time poster. So that and 5 bucks will get you a starbucks. LOL

She is absolutely a top talent regardless of geography, as are her sisters. I wish them the best of luck.

Well, maybe not "ever" now, after the departure of TBU. Maybe once in 100 times. :lmao:

Sure makes it interesting at 12u.. TBU was an elite pitcher, about impossible to replace her... they will still bring a solid team to the Dayton Metro .. looking forward to having a chance to play them there ..
