Madness Black is the real deal. They pass the pre game "uniform test", they can hit and they have 2 outstanding pitchers that have to be Varsity aces somewhere.

Just curious but why are the final polls done so early (7/21), with 3 weekends of 2010 softball to be played a lot of good softball was played at tournaments such as GAPSS and Nationals?

Just out of curiosity, where did the Laser's Gold go for national's? I just happened to notice that I didn't see them on the list of teams for Moline. Are they playing up?

Worth Prospects from Missouri finished # 1 they are out there at ASA now with you. They beat us in the winnners bracket final. And the Virginia Lengends beat us in the losers bracket final.

Madness black is in the winners bracket finals, LaPlata MD. ASA-A nationals. Their season record nearing 60-6. Its easier to look at the losses, 2-to New York teams,3 to PA. teams and only 1 team from Ohio has beaten them all year! They have had some revenge as they beat the same New York team and they just beat both Pittsburgh Power teams.Other than the first tourn.(Valley Extreme top 4) the only thing to keep Madness black out of the finals everywhere they go is rain twice.

La Plata is Eastern Nationals. Madness Black has a great team I only wish we could have played them at GAPSS. The coaches were top class. Rain killed the game. But I wish them all the best at ASA Eastern Nationals.

pitchdad if we beat the same Worth team I would have to say that we overachieved. We have never beaten your team. You guys are one of the many Ohio teams who have made us better.

Fetch congrats on your win. And best of luck in SC, but records mean very little. Plz dont take it the wrong way, I know you have a good team & want some respect, keep playing the best & beating the best & the respect will come. Good luck.

Dude, winning an ASA "A" regional nationals is nothing to sneeze at. That is a great accomplishment.

While an ASA regionals is good, it does not even compare to the competition of the ASA/USA A nationals.

There were 156 teams in ASA/USA this year. The upper half of the bracket is the real deal but the lower half would not just roll through a regional with reckless abandon. I would say a 1st place finish in a regional is better than a 126 place finish in an ASA/USA.

I was at the 14-U Nationals. Most of the bottom half (not all) was fantastic. If the ASA Easterns, Westerns, etc. has teams like that were in the bottom half of the A Nationals, then there are some serious, serious teams out there.

The Oregon Thunder I believe was in the bottom half. They won Fireworks and have a pitcher who throws 64 mph. The Intensity I think were in the bottom half. The Washington Absolute Blast were in the very bottom and I know them and how good they are.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you could replay about any top tournament and the results will likely be largely different. The top half dozen or so will probably still be about the same, but everything else might be jumbled. In Moline, I watched games non-stop and saw no average teams.

Congrats to Madness - played them at Gapps and lost in 11 innings. Match-ups are a big deal at all these nationals - Intensity was the best in Ohio this year in my opinion along with the Doom 95 so they must have had some tough match ups.

Good job by all top 10 teams and many others that were not listed. Like someone said, play the best to be the best, get your girls exposure and enjoy good ball games.

Great job Madness you should feel proud!
Had the oppurtunity to play there last year and to be honest while it was great , the main competition was from ohio . 12 u final 4. Ohio classics 1st, pitts. power 2 , pc sting 3 and , ciny doom96 4 .
The rest of the field had some good teams but , I do not believe the competition was the same as an ASA main national.
But it is always great to say that your Eastern National Champ and no one can take that away from you.

Wow, they have beaten some of the best and have gone nose to nose with those they haven't. . . No one takes it as a knock, but this team deserves a hardy slap on the back for their hard work, dedication, and determination to show everyone they can and will hold there own.
