Central Ohio Lady Vipers have 2 14U teams(96 team & 97 team).

I voted and have voted most of this year for the first time...Last year I left it to all you professionals, but we've played I think 10 of the top 15 listed...and have seen the other 4 - 5 at our tournaments this year. I would say this top ten is REALLY close...Yes, you could throw those teams 4 through 10(Maybe even through 15) into a hat and pull them out and probably still couldn't argue how it turns out. 14U division is loaded!

TOP 4 DESERVE THE RANKING - Especially after that impressive run by the Classics. It doesn't matter how the names on the bracket at the ASA States got there, the bottom half was LOADED! Maybe next week or the week after you will see some different names up there...but I'm pretty sure we won't see those 2 top names change unless they swap spots.

As previously stated, I agree with the top three and think that the top 15 are all competitive. And, I will never say a team is not deserving of their ranking, these girls all work hard to achieve, BUT the Wolfpack deserves more respect. They won at Pinnacle (Eastern National Bid), reached the consi final at Compuware. Reached the final four at the Massillon Tigertown (16U). Reached the final four at ASA States (lost vs Classics 3-1 in the consi semis, and won a US Nationals Bid). Won at Orrville (Eastern Nationals Bid, went undefeated and beat the Classics in an 8-inning thriller, 3-2). I am anxious to see how the new polls reflect this consistent and gutty performance this year by some wonderful and talented players. BTW, hats off to the Classics. They are a total package. Anyone who has had the distinction of watching the ASA States Game and the Orrville Final between the Wolfpack and Classics, got to see 14 innings of awesome softball. My favorite moment: The two teams gathered at home plate for a 'together ' picture after the game. That's awesome!

Wolfpack was also on the semi-finals at the Wildcats Spring Shootout at the 16u level too, then the rain came. I agree as we have played 8 or 9 teams in the top 15 woflpack was great.

thanks softball41 i can speak for myself. wwolff: coach then, parent now, so. let's focus on the issue, the players. it isnt about coaches, past or present, nor parents....
i disagree with softball41, kids do know and do care... if you're going to compete at a high level, you better believe you belong there. that's any athlete, any sport. polls, ya they are fun to debate but not necessarilly important. many have missed the intent of the thread. the players will utlimately do the talking on the field!!!!!

Sorry Parma! I remember running for the cars when the clouds became ominous. The rains not only shortened the tourney, but the lightning zapped my memory too!

This coming from someone who just joined OFC and has 3 whole posts. Some credentials.

I don't know either of you, and I know I don't have the credentials to have an opinion, but I think that was wicked rude. IMHO

The group picture has been a Classics 96 ritual for many years. Any time we get to the finals of a tournament win or lose, we always take a group picture with our opponent. Tradition started over 10 years ago when I helped coach CO Lady Rebels team.

Go to www.ohioclassics96.com to see other group pictures from this season. You have to use internet explorer though to view - have not optimized the site for other browsers yet!

Yes I am a new member also but just wanted to say that we have already played the wolfpack 4 times this year and they are a great team and the coaching staff is first class as well. Good luck to all this weekend in Columbus or wherever else you may be playing. Go SunDogs!

Wolfpack is a great team!!!! But you may want to post your comments on the updated polls. This one is for last week. If you look at this weeks polls I think they are reflected right. Wolfpack is up!
