yea cgs I thought that too. I know a few of their players went deep into their tournament but I didn't think to ask if they had the same rules as we do.

Tigerlillies should be very good in 14U this year also. They return 8 from last year's 13U team, and have added 3 solid players. They are experienced, have solid pitching, and good coaching. They have been unable to play due to several HS players still being active. They were scheduled for North Ridgeville last weekend, which was canceled. They will be in Boardman next weekend.

wanted to give a shout out to the Dublin Storm --they may not be top ten but for a organization that isn't well known they have a very nice squad. ESPECIALLY the left fielder ! I can't think of more than 1 or 2 kids I've seen that quick to 1st . she has a huge future in this sport.

They're a very nice hitting team as well.

Dragon team is a very nice team - strong pitching and defense. There were several other 13 and 14 teams there also - HOH Xplosion - nice team also -

relax, I'm at my DDs kinderarten graduation and it is boiling in the gym. If mrs. Ringer knew I was the OFC during the thing she would probably smash my iPhone. I'll update them when I get home.

Ringer,

No worries, just a bunch of rain falling in Cinci, so no practice and too much time for OFC tonight... ^_^!

Enjoy dd's K graduation.. Congratulations!

Why is there a double standard when it comes to teams that decide to play up for most of their schedule? There are 2 teams that are heads above any other team in their respective polls. They are given a lot of props!! Yet when these teams play up and get beat by an older team, there's always the "well you did only beat a 12u team or 14u team", whatever the case may be. Kinda like the GAPPS tournament a few years back, when the coach from most talked about team on OFC made the comment, "bet you feel good about beating a bunch of 12-year-olds?" Nobody asked these teams to play up. They play up for the competition and if they win at the competition then you'll hear about how great the team played against girls that are 2 years older. The girls from these teams are great players and shouldn't get any less respect because they lost to a team that is older and the team that wins shouldn't get any less respect because they play a very good team loaded with talent that happen to be younger.

I believe the Dublin Storm team only has players from the Dublin Community. The fast leftfielder had the name Newkirk on her uniform. It was hard to read because it was a blllluuuurrrr as she went down first base line.

I'm with MD on this one, "Newkirk" can flat out fly! Nice contact hitter and covers ground in the outfield. Good team out of the Dublin Community!
