Well, after only seeing 1 14u team competing at the Laser Akadema Gold Tourney @ the 18u Division last weekend, in which Doom95 registered victories over Laser Gold18u 5-0, Buckeye18u 3-2, and losses to Indy Dreams18u 0-4, Ky. Outrage16u 0-1, and OFC Heat Black18u 2-4 it's pretty clear that Doom95 although happy, but not completely satisfied as we let at least 1 game get away from us did realize our goals from this tournament, of identifying or confirming weakness to work on all fall and winter long.

This weekend also boldly reminded us: that ANYONE can beat ANYONE on any day, if you don't bring your "A" game to the table as we enjoyed victory over possibly some better teams, and we also felt defeat by a team or two we believed we could/should have won.

THANK YOU LASERS FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE THE GUT CHECK AND RECEIVE ALL THAT VALUE!!!!!!!!!

WOW that is unusual for a 14u team to compete so well at the 18u level. It sounds like you have a very strong 14u squad and should do very well at nat's. Am I wrong in assuming that the laser gold team is not a gold level team but just has gold in thier color scheme?

How many of the teams from this final list still have the same girls for the upcoming year

After watching and playing the Doom 95 in Rock Hill SC, this team is very good.

Doom95 lost 2 kids I think . Picked up 4 nice talented experienced players including 2 solid pitchers and one of the best hitters in the state at 14u (been out this fall with a quad muscle injury) . It's really exciting to part of a team like this one. Been a good fall without this girl cementing the O .

Buckeye heat picked up several nice players. Lineup for the Ice will be pretty different --they lost maybe 3 starters to the Outlaws . anyone know anything about laser silver ? there lineup will be shuffled quite a bit I'd guess, lost 2 pitchers.

Thats the main 3 teams there were not 94 teams that have to move up to 16u in 2010. MD

Mantle, you are correct, the Laser Gold team is just our color scheme.

several good 13u teams will join the fray --doom 96 , lasers gold, Classics, Laser Black . 14u Stingrays-wiley and the new Championship fastpitch 14u will be good. MD

Gunners1 - in this case I think they actually did play the Laser Akedema Gold team - which is playing a Gold schedule. I am already getting confused by the names too.

Yep, Doom95 played at 18u division at the Laser Gold Tourney. It was the Akadema Gold team they played as well as three other 18us and 1 16u team.

Where would your team be planning on playing this summer, if you are taking on 18 yr old teams now it sounds like you will have a pretty big schedule.

Both of the teams, Doom and Lasers are tough...... I would pay the price of admission to see the outcome of that game....... playing the doom was a game our girls looked past collectivly and got bit n the butt.... some of lifes lessons are best learned the hard way

LOL, that is what fall/winter ball is for! :)

Our Lasers silver (2006-07) team beat Hudson High School back in winter Spano in 2007 as 12u 7th graders. That Hudson team won the D1 State Championship later that spring, over Elyria in the Championship Game. That outcome was "good" for both our Lasers Silver 12u team, as well as the D1 State Champs Hudson High School team that winter ... for different reasons & motivations. :yahoo:

.... any given day ....

There was a team at the Stingray Tourney that lost 1-0 to the Lasers Red , ( who won the whole thing and was ranked #1 team in Ohio at that time ) that was all 13 year olds. For 2010 they are even stronger then 2009 . Only time will tell though.....

Doom95 fits the profile mentioned(all 13u or younger on last years roster) but they did not play Laser Red at Stingrays. So thinking it MIGHT be the Perrysburg FINESSE team, as I remember seeing them and thinking they were quite solid, but would not have thought they were all 13u. If so, I would have to agree with "username;225762".

Anyone know for sure what team "Username;225762" is talking about at Stingrays 14u last year.

The field for stingrays 14u last summer is below:

14U
1. Akron Sapphires - Hudson, OH
2. Indy Diamond Chix - New Palestine, IN
3. Cincy Doom 95 - Cincinnati, OH
4. Louisville Lady Sluggers - Louisville, KY
5. Buckeye Heat 94 - Johnstown, OH
6. Finesse - Perrysburg, OH
7. Lady Lasers Red - Columbus, OH
8. Team Indiana Gold - Anderson, IN
9. Valley Extreme Kiser - Windham, OH
10. Cincy Static Black - Sunman, IN
11. Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners - Imperial, PA
12. Ohio Wave Rosinski - Greenville, OH
13. Pittsburgh Predators - Rural Ridge, PA
14. Compuware - Redford, MI
15. Ohio Stingrays Caton - Lancaster, OH
16. Ohio Stingrays Steele - Grove City, OH

I'm pretty sure username is talking about the Pittsburgh Predators.. they were a 13u team last year and lost 1-0 to the laser red team.. I'm not 100% sure but I dont think they won a game at the stingray tournament last year.. they did play everyone tough though and should be very good this year..

The FINESSE team with the coach out of Perrysburg is a 16U team for 2010

We played that Finesse team at Stingrays. Very nice team, very classy coaches & team also. Just thought I would pile on with a compliment (and not just because I am a Perrysburg grad ;)).
