I saw an interesting thing tonight in a first round bracket game in 12u. team down several runs and time expired. last at bats and the coach sends a batter to the plate who is not listed on the score card, or in the batting order or as a sub. I guess some Birds really will do anything to try to win a game. Bad news was she grounded out and the runner that scored was sent back to 3rd. Is good coaching or someone trying to saty on the DL.

Really? Let me explain what happened .. I made out the line-up in the score book and then wrote the line-up card out - when I did I left off the last batter on the line-up card off, which was handed to the other team. That 'last batter' has been not able to hit for 8 weeks due to knee surgery and is just now back playing - she is still 'behind' - believe me I would have been more than fine with going back to the top of our lineup with only 1 out. It was a coaches mistake on my part period .. OFC never ceases to amaze me - I am sure neither of you will have the .... to post your names yet you have no problem making accusations like that.

On the plus side - I was able to talk to a lot of the 12u coaches today - there are really some great head coaches at 12u and they were all there to play a lot of innings and get the season started off right .. all had the right approach to the games and as a result there were some great games today...

Congrat's to the Stingray's to a great win, the girls earned it and we are glad for Chris and Mike .. well done.

Buckeye Heat 97 beat Static 96 13-0 and lost to Ice 4-3 in pool. Beat Danger 5-2 in 1st round elim. Play Ice tomorrow at 10:40.

Shout out to Kylie A and Sam B for going yard. Lot of very good 14u teams here this weekend. There are more than a couple that will cause some problems this year.

Watched a lot of great softball today. Homerun Paul!! 14U Ice the real deal!! Seen a few girls go longggg! After that went to watch to great 12u teams go head to head... Watch the 12U Stingrays beat a very good 12u hawks team
6-1.. A lot of more games to go..

As I said the Stingray's played great - Coach Chris and I talked all day, glad for him and the girls.. we gave the entire team the MVP ribbon - they each earned a team victory - as I left they all were talking about have to cut it in to 12 pieces to share.. gotta love the kids take on the game...

I will try to post all games and scores by Monday. This is alot of ball and work in the amount of time we are trying to do this in. I hope all teams and coaches are having fun as this is a great warm-up for all. Really are not any easy games, so called, in these field of teams. I think there has been 7 or 8 homeruns so far. It is great to see the smiles on the girls as they round the bases. Lots of hard hitters and big kids. It feels funny when I look up to the 14u girls, let alone the 12u girls now, lol. I think the parents are feeding them steroids now a days, they are huge. What an awesome weekend of games so far. Keep up the good work players and coaches. This should be one exciting year at 12u and 14u.

I had her hitting in the 10 hole, she was off over 8 weeks due to surgery, until 3 weeks ago she was not allowed to play at all, just last week she played her first full game and is still not allowed to catch due to her knees not being ready. We would have been better off rolling the lineup over that inning with 1 out and runner on - and she had to have hit in the 3rd inning as well in the 10 hole, I had no idea that I left her off the card I handed your score keeper... my mistake.

The Ice vs Buckeye Heat was a great game- looked like Heat was going to win, but Ice pulled it off in last at bat.

As mayberry said doug...i wouldnt even bother responding to "probationary members" who post nothing but negative **** on here...simple mistake... Tell KK to keep her head up after those type of games in the future...she is always all smiles and i know your squad looks to her as a leader... Always fun battling her and your kids..

Thanks to Paul and the entire Danger organization for putting on a fantastic event. It was a fun weekend of softball with some great sunny weather for a change.
