I missed a pee-wee football game to see Elvis in Dayton in 74............
First concert without either of my parents was Bob Seger in Cincy in 79/80........

I have my ticket for Guns n' Roses in July, but sure hope that won't be my last.........

I have seen Bruce over 30 times - The Best!
Kid Rock put on a couple of the best shows I ever saw. He still puts on a great show - but not as good as a few years back......

Funny.......but CDB (Charlie Daniels Band) and Oak Ridge Boys.........dang that was a LONG time ago!!

Oak Ridge Boys- that makes me laugh as it reminds me of their song Elvira. My parents liked that and had a 45 that had it and on the flipside "Wasn't that a Party". I don't think that paints a very flattering (or realistic) picture of them though ;)

Was thinking about this;
I went to my first concert when I was 13 - Had to take a city bus to the Civic Arena (Pittsburgh) me and my friends, walk to the show 10-12 blocks and then take a bus home at what 11:00 at night and my parents didn't think anything about it.
We went to several shows before we could drive the same way. Never crossed our mind.
- I have taken my daughter to a few concerts now, I would not have dreamed of letting her out of my sight at a concert, much less let her take a bus.

What where our parents thinking??

First Show I've ever seen was Van Halen with DLR, and the last show I saw was Wayne Hancock, but the best show I have seen was Dio and Iron Maiden at Star Lake in PA. Bruce (Dickinson) can still belt it out like no other. I try to catch them whenever they come to town. Dio was also amazing in concert that like guy had a huge voice. RIP

Was that the "May Break Bones" tour? I guess that's every Stones tour these days though.

I was actually blown away by how active Mick was running a 50 yard stage all night and they sounded awesome. When each was introduced, Keith couldn't even talk as if he was a shy teen.... Was like "no I can't...." A definite bucket list must see for anyone!

First: 1979, Cinci, Eddie Money and Santana ... dad worked for record label so got to meet EM back stage. Probably wouldn't have been my first choice at 10, but probably most memorable
Last: 2014 (I think), Blossom, Jimmy Buffet
Best: 1988, Minneapolis, Monsters of Rock (Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica, Kingdom Come) or 1991, Harriet Island St. Paul, MN, Lollapalooza (Jane's Addiction, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Living Colour, Nine Inch Nails, Fishbone, Ice T & Body Count, BH Surfers, Rollins Band, EBN, Violent Femmes) ... both were awesome!

And a limo ride to and from. Since...just tourneys with the warm up songs on a loud radio to annoy bystanders...lol
