they were well coached and solid for a young/small team. IIIIF my no. 1 was there, they would have had a hard time catching up to her. Annnnnd, more importantly if we hadn't made bone head plays, different story.. woulda, coulda, shoulda'.... Nice to be on dirt finally. Thanks for the props. Yeah I know, mid-June. I hope to be "clean" by the Rip-It, if not, these top teams will be on us and we'll be another team in their way. Lots of good 10's this year.

Yeah, the mostly 11u (7 of 11) team has my first 3 of 4 in his lineup from the 2008 team. Ssssh, they are only 11... Kavin's team will be, well... I'm not saying anything. I'm so excited for that team. Kavin is an awesome coach and he himself has retooled his game as good coaches do so I expect great things for that team. He is very deep in many positions.

First time out is interesting.. going from gyms to outdoor it all seems big to the girls... glad you got it all in today ... I just looked into the book from Saturday and the gun numbers- KK was throwing 50-52 on avg .. I did not realize that she was in the low 50's.. she is something for a small girl - she puts everything into it.

Kavin's team looked big/strong yesterday - in 2010 they will be a beast.

Sundays are going to be hard for us because of Spano League play (Sunday double headers). Doug let me talk to our team and see what's possible. I'll send you a pm.

As everyone knows the 10U Ice team is as good as advertised. There is a reason they will be in every game on Sunday and that is the coaching that these girls get. Don?t get me wrong they are talented as well but what a well coached team! I was very impressed with their defense (especially the ss). This team is very good and only going to get better.

Our girls have a long way to go but we have a great group of girls (and parents) and are working hard to get better. Thanks for the compliments Iceman and for scrimmaging with us.

I also would like to thank all of the Ice parents for making the trip to Pittsburgh on Sat. and enduring the always present (at least in PA) orange construction barrels. What a nightmare. I hope the trip back was a little better.

When the warm weather finally arrives and we get outdoors there should be some very competitive 10u games this summer on Sundays.

I don?t have a vote in the pool but we have played a few of the northern OH teams last fall and over the winter and the ICE, Northcoast Spirit, and Valley Extreme would all be in my top 10. Another team to watch is the Thunder Elite. Those girls can hit and they will be a tough out for anyone.

The 1st three 10u teams to enter our may tournament can do so at a reduced rate of $250! This is a 4 game guarantee for $250. This is a great offer!

VE is offering a reduced entry fee for 10U teams the weekend of May 2nd. We would love to see a few of the teams on the top teams list in this tourney.

Nate, I'll try to see if we can do something to get in the May 2nd tourney... We have 11 tourney's booked - it might take some parental arm twisting ;)

I got a PM, no email ... we could do Berliner Park again or if you are willing to come down to Middletown, I can get the Varsity diamond - and provide your players and parents lunch (burgers/dogs, my parents will bring all the goodies) and we will pay for both of the umpires - and put together a 'scrimmge T-shirt' for all the girls involved on both teams as a gift from our girls to yours.... call me 513 571 1180.

We had the opportunity to scrimage the Classics this past weekend. Matt has his team looking good. His #1 pitcher throws hard and his 2 & 3 can hold their own. I would expect to see them going deep most Sundays this summer.

Yeah Doug, play nice... see you tomorrow Buddy!!!

Girls won't know what to do without dodging puddles, getting their socks soaked, and messing up the car with wet equipment!!!

so if the girls are used to throwing in the 40's, does bumping up the temperature about 15 degrees let them throw in the 50's?? One could only wish!!!;&:yahoo::lmao:
