I am hoping to help a young player find an established well coached softball team for the upcoming season. They are located in Sunbury, Oh (willing to travel within an hour).
I was asked to take a look at this player who is new to softball. She has been playing travel baseball for years. You wouldn't know by watching her that she's never played softball. Great swing, great arm and can field a ball well and track & catch a flyball very well. Played 2b/OF for baseball.
Bottom line, I am an established / experienced 09 team. While I considered her as an 11th player, I ultimately felt it wouldn't be fair to her. She is going to make a 2010 team better for sure. I told them I would do what I can to find her a home so here we are. As noted, they are new to softball so they have no idea where to begin.
If you are an established team and are invested in coaching / teaching young players the game and would like to take a look at this girl, please let me know.
