Greg, let me add from the people in N.E.O., we had a great time, great competition and we were so happy to get the trourny in as the weather was brutal. Think you did a great job, just wished you would have delivered on your promise to let us win the whole thing instead of taking 3rd...
Seriously, while I am sure you learned something this weekend as this was a big event with poor weather, I appreciate what you and your Org did to pull this off! Great job and thank you
I am a little surprised that so many teams declined berths. Are these teams not going to nationals or have they decided to attend a more economical national tournament?
With so many Ohio teams declining the berths from the ASA States, what happens to them? Does the ASA look at it each year and then can they decide not to give as many if we keep declining them? Just curious...
This is the fun part of being a Tournament Director.....getting the teams to commit to a "berth". We have four, so if the Wolfpack and NEO Attack accept the berths will be fullfilled. Vacant berths are then turned back into the State for redistrubtion.....
Some of the results don't seem right. I know Classics were 8-2 and not 7-2 and I know that we played Wolfpack in the 3/4 game and NEO Attack in the the 2/3 game.
Midland, Texas is a long way away and very hot. Better have lots of money and lots of players to get through it! If it were within driving distance we would be there.
Doesn't look like next year's 14u USA/ASA Nationals are any better than Texas this year. According to what I have seen they are in Sioux Falls, SD. About the same journey time, things might be cheaper in SD than Texas.
