Is Strongville a ASA/USA qualifier? I read on another thread "ASA Berths", thet Cleveland lost it's metro status and therefore doesn't have a bid to give out. Is that true? Am I interpreting that wrong? I can't seem to find a clear answer or a posting on OFC for the tournament.

It's there every year and runs generally the week before up to the 4th. It generally gets real busy, and little room to move, but well worth it.

USA/ASA just started in Strongsville. Would rather play in Orrville.

We camped there 2 years ago. It was a decent campground with good prices. It was about 15 minutes away from the park. I believe the name of it was Caskeys campgrounds.

Very nice tournament, with plenty of shelters around for cookouts (poss.have to reserve your spot), and hope your team is playing up on the small hill by main center parking because both teams will be under plenty of trees/shade, maintenance of fields were really done nice, you had personnel coming around in golf carts regularly, pretty nice park (clean), plenty of concessions areas whether it was around the carnival area or the main ballfield, decent restrooms, and if your girls are tired of the carnival, there was a place like SportsOhio-Dublin that wasn't too far away that had a climbing rock, putt putt golf, little boats that you think barely squirt water but you'll come out drenched, lazer tag, paintball arena and go carts. We didn't get around to squeezing this in, but apparently there's tours for Smuckers.

Yes, you can bring RV's, although there are really no dedicated parking spots for them. The high school, which is right next to Orr Park, offers a large parking area that might make it a little easier for you if all regular lots in the park are full.

I cannot wait until my DD's team plays in this tourney this summer...we've been waiting for her to age up into 14U to get to attend this one! Competition looks fierce, and carnival rides, here I come!!

We have been able to determine that we will have use of an extra field at Orr Park for this years tournament! That allows us to expand to 44 teams, and due to the overwhelming response we have received we have already filled those 4 extra spots! Updated team list to be posted shortly.

One of my regrets for the Buckeye Heat 95 team is that we could never fit this tourney in. Everyone raves about the experience and the field for this year is very very impressive. Wishing the Orrville Firefighters the best of weather in return for this contribution to the Ohio fastpitch community.
