2015 Metro Dayton ASA/USA Qualifier / College Showcase

Metro Dayton ASA will be providing both an USA/ASA National Berth and an Eastern Regional berth for the top two finishers in each age group. The 16u/18u teams will be playing in the main 5-diamond complex all weekend and under the lights, giving ample opportunities for college coaches to catch as many games as possible.

Last year we hosted 106 teams, and had approx. 40 colleges attend the event to recruit.

There will be 1 USA/ASA National Berth AND 2 ASA Eastern Regional berths awarded per age group.

Pool Play will be 1:20 - No New Inning. Bracket will be 1:40 - complete the inning, proceed to ITB. Losers/Winners bracket finals, no time limit. Play will begin at 8am Friday morning.

Straight ASA Championship rules for elimination play. Roster bat for pool play. Head coaches must present ACE certification.

Date: June 5th-7th, 2015
Sanction: ASA Division 'A' for 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u teams.
Format: 4GG, 2 pp, double elimination.
Fee: $325 for 8u 3 GG, $525 10u-18u 4 GG, full payment required at registration to secure spot

"Teams will be accepted based on their standing in ASA...."

So does this mean teams have to apply AND be accepted into the tourney or is it still open to all wanting to play as long as they are within the limit of teams per age group?

Open, but they must be registered with ASA and in good standing, meaning the team/coach has not had issues with other ASA tournaments or TD's.

Please complete the registration information below to enter. Acceptance will be on a first paid in full basis. Please submit your payment to the address below ASAP to secure your spot. We will be taking (8) 10u teams, (16) 12u teams, (24) 14u, (36) 16u and (16) 18u teams.
First place teams receive choice of a berth to the 2015 ASA/USA Nationals or the 2015 Eastern Regional National. Runner-up will recieve the berth not selected by the winner.

We secured 4 additional fields - very close .. we are looking at the bulk of the registrations to see what is coming in - the response has been incredible! - we want to have as many 18u and 16u teams as possible for college recruiting - followed by 14u obviously. Total field should be around 120 teams. The 14u response has been great - looking at 32-36 14u teams.
