I hope you were able to find the pools and schedule at one of the 2 sites available. We are hoping for great weather and a good tournament.

Can you please advise if there are any changes to the game format or teams entered. Heard rumors of a 14u team dropping if so will the schedule be revised. Thanks
Tom

There is no changes to the format. There was a game that was moved but everything else is the same for those teams not involved at this time.

Good question. We are going out to the fields right now to see what we can salvage. Should have a pretty good ground crew. Will post as soon as possible as to the field conditions.

Thanks for your patients.

There is an updated pool play schedule on the Diamond Dog website due to the weather - I think it just came up so the coaches are probably being notified just now-just wanted folks to be aware. Hopefully the rain will let up and the girls can get at least some games in

Well here is some what of an update. Almost everyone got 2 pool games in on Saturday and on Sunday we got rain out with 9 games to go in the whole tournament.
I want to thank all the teams that came and played this weekend and I hope there isn't too many complaints on how it ended. We were glad to have all off the teams that come and play and we hope to have you all back next year with better weather so we can finish without the luck of the toss in some.
I was told the 10's will meet later in the week and finish it out to see who gets the big trophy. Good Luck to all the teams and see you later down the road.

Thanks

The Diamond Dogs organization should be commended for putting on a good tournament despite unfavorable conditions. They really worked hard to keep fields playable and be fair to the visiting organziations- at times even sacrifcing their own playing time, etc.
They had all the nicities (food, T-shirts, etc at reasonable prices). I believe Danny, John, Pam and Rick as well as all the members of the organization should receievd a "kudos" for a job well done!
Thank you

The weather was a real test this weekend and the Diamond Dogs organization more than passed to get the games in they did. ?Great job given the conditions. ?The 14Us ended in a 3 way tie with the Ohio Lightning, Ohio Pride, and Ohio Phantoms being declared Tri-champions. ?When the rains came the Lightning had beat the Oh Ice to make it to the Championship but the other semifinal game had not been completed between the Pride and Phantoms. ?Good job by the coaches of the Tri-champs to go that way rather than coin toss the outcome and a special thanks to the umpires and NSA rep who chipped in to get another set of trophies for the girls.

the scores that we have from the ones that were reported before the rains and coin tosses are:

Diamond Dogs- Green 4
Ohio Pride- Prowlers 0

Sapphires 2
North Coast Spirit 4

Stow lady Bulldogs 0
Diamond Dogs- Purple 13

Nordonia beat independence
Ohio Lightning beat Nordonia
Then we had coin tosses with the Diamond Dogs-Green winning.
Thanks to everyone for their help and patience.

Thank you to the Diamond Dog organization for working soo very hard to let the girls play. Most tournaments would have given up Friday but these people worked their butts off to keep the fields playable. I KNOW NO MONEY COULD HAVE BEEN MADE JUST ON THE AMOUNT OF STAYDRI THEY USED.
Special thanks to the N S A on site official .I wish I could remember her name . It was she that donated and had the umpires donate the money to help pay for the extra set of trophies for the 14u bracket. AGAIN you all have my thanks and my praise.

I would have to agree with you softball junkie . The Diamond Dog organization on and off the field was first class. Many parents and players from your organization gave us some great compliments after our last game .Felt real good to finally get outside and play ball. Great job Ice . You really know how to hit the ball ?( FAR ). Cant wait until the next one . Thanks Diamond Dogs . As far as losing , It was a Tie to the Lightning. The Ice finished 3-0-1 .Tie breaker rule gave it to the Lightning . Great game .Ice showed alot of class. Proud of ya !!

I was glad to see that the Phantoms pitcher was doing well after being hit with a line drive in the morning. Good Luck and a speedy recovery. 00's dad.
