Anyone give 14U a try?

A great list of teams, as the talented young ladies at 14U should carry the torch and continue to be as strong as the past couple of groups!!! Now I'm not so sure about the coaches, ( Cavenall, Murphy, Anderson, Miller, Wilson, Hutchinson, Gambone, Wiley ect.) A very unusual group of coaches if you ask me...lol.

I know I am asking a stupid question and the answer is probably smacking me right in the face. But what does the number IE 95 or 96 mean after the team name??

That is how many girls on the team.

LOL - "95" signifies that all girls on the team were born in 1995 or before. For example.. Buckeye Heat 95 is an older 14U team.

What he means is they were born in '95. No earlier than Jan 1 1995.

So my new name is Ohio Blast 13u 96/97 !!! Looks like a combination or a big pant size!! I'll just stick with my original name or maybe it's how fast my pitchers throw.......their change up!! I put the numbers on their for two reasons. First, the post was that there will not be many strong teams that are second year 14u. The second is that when I was in Texas coaching for 3 years, everyone put what year they were. If the majority of your team was 95's then you were the Fireball 95 team for example - sorry to confuse everyone!

Long time black and gold fan - born in the burg and a yinzer at heart. From the land of jumbo, gumbands, cole slaw on sandwiches and terrible towels. Grew up (some say I never did) with Stargell, Bonds (before steiroids), Penquins before Mario, Terry Bradshaw and the crew and Tony Dorsett when the first syllable was accentuated. Anyway, proud Black and Gold follower through tough times (Bubby Brister, Pirates for the last 17 years) and good times (6 superbowls, world series and three Stanley Cups).
