Buckeyes 0 Purdue 7 when we left the stands today. OSU had two hits PURDUE was at 11

Two parts to the game Offense and Defense..Pitching and Hitting if neither are working you will see the big 0 behind the team name. It's Bummer and a rebuilding year for OSU

My daughter was there at this game. As her first experience at this level as a 11 year old. she was in awe at the level of ball being played, however after the game when she thought would get to meet and get a autograph or two from these lady athletes, being one of the reccognized teams for that day. They never came out, heads down from a loss..Instead she got Purdue atographs from the parking lot. One of the autographs and pics. was from the purdue pitcher, whom had a torn groin muscle with a pack of ice. Happily giving the little girl a photo op. and signiture. My opinion greatly changed that day about the OSU program.

Rone,
Kara Dil played h.s. at Keystone, her most important summer ball was played with the Lady Lasers Purple, she's now at the Univ. of Kentucky... It's a great story... I hope she can talk another Ohio girl to join her...
The state of in-state collegiate softball is not good... Either we have not prepared the players or the coaches are not good...It was stated earlier, '' half of the rosters are filled with home grown kids ''. We have what we want and can't play .500 ball, which is average... Something is not good...

Michigan split a two game series with Iowa, and are now tied with Indiana atop the Big Ten at 9-2. Overall records are a little different however, with Michigan at 41-4, and Indiana at 29-15.

Michigan travels to Wisconsin for two games next weekend, and then plays six at home, including a DH with OSU on May 4th. They wrap up with the second game of a home and home with Michigan State on May 14th, before beginning NCAA Regional play on May 20th.

Indiana pitcher named big ten player of the week , three weeks in a row. Sorry I'm a IU grad and it is nice to see them compete again. The dd and I have been to the softball field and watch them play on TV. We were at Miami of Ohio last week and they have one of the best softball fields I have seen.

Does anyone know if there is a big ten conference tournament at the end of the season. How many teams? If not how many do you think will make the NCAA regionals.

There is no conference tournament that I am aware of. I would think Michigan, Indiana, and Iowa would make it in, and Purdue has a shot as well. Northwestern has a pretty good overall winning percentage, but is under .500 in Big Ten play, which could work against them.

Michigan went this past weekend without Jordan Taylor. Apparently she injured herself at practice on Thursday. Coach Hutchins won't say what the injury is, but rumor has it that it is rotator cuff related.

Sophomore Stephanie Speierman (also from SoCal) will get most of the starts in Jordan's absence.

Iowa just spreads the love around......

Well Iowa has 1st year Coach so not sure she had anything to do with current players yet, but in talking with Luper at Sparks last year, she is raising the bar, and expects to pick top tier studds out of Texas each year, as she feels she has a pipeline there as she assisted at Texas. She was extremely bold in stating the Big Ten will have to keep up with her as she's going to take it to a whole new level. I found that extremely excited for a new coach to have so much conviction and confidence in where she is taking her program.

I couldn't help but mention the overlooked Ohio talent that exists, but she already knew that cause she was watching our Ohio Team, so that was exciting that a new Coach that wants to raise the bar in the Big Ten spent time watching a 14u Ohio Team competing at 16u Sparks. COOL!
