Ivy is a Junior, Ellen is a sophomore and there is a little sister Anna (HS senior) on her way. I don't think they see her as a stud pitcher though. They seem to be very high on the Ohio product!!!!

We were at the University of Tennessee on 4/13 & 4/14 to watch the games against LSU. Dd got the opportunity to speak with Ralph Weekly after the first game and when she told him she was from Ohio, Ralph immediately asked dd if she knew of Erin Gabriel, he gushed about the 34 strikeout's Erin just earned in Fla. and continued to say how he really likes Ohio kids and how he had his eye on a certain other Ohio SS (whose name I will not state). I might add, as soon as he heard we were from Ohio and made the trip to watch some games, Ralph offered to take dd on a tour of the UT softball clubhouse, let her watch film with the Renfrow sisters, showed her the training room and literally spent over a half hour with us intoducing dd to the players and letting her/us take pictures. dd was in awe and Ralph is truly a great guy.

And that folks is how recruiting is done!!!!!!!!!!

BTW - folks down here were REALLY impressed with Erin's ability. I have some softball friends down in SE Fla that got to see her pitch, even in the game she came in in relief they gushed over her.

Erin is at Tennessee because she wanted to compete at the highest level. If things don't quite work out, that is ok. At least she will not live the rest of her life wondering what if..... As her mom, I admire that. She is also at Tennessee because Ralph and Karen Weekly are truely nice people. Tennessee is beautiful. She is happy with her decision.

I posted earlier in this thread about her experience with recruiting at OSU. I don't think they even had a clue Erin existed..lol.

Also, once she spends a lot of time south of that Mason-Dixon Line, it will be hard to get her to leave the South. :)

She will love her time at UT. Best of luck.

Again - like I have said for a couple years now....it isn't that Ohio doesn't have talent. It's that tOSU doesn't seem to be able to recruit it. I don't profess to know the players up there. But just in this thread there are two pitchers going to top 25 teams, and tOSU calling TD's asking for them to keep an eye open for them. Things that make you go "hmmmmmmm".
