Coronavirus has affected everything softball and a lot of other sports as well. I just spent about 20 minutes talking with a volleyball mother that shared what Club Volleyball Teams/organizations are currently doing due to COVID - 19. Of course I always enjoying getting feedback from other sports parents and o boy with this viruses we have lots to talk about. Here are a few of the things she shared with me, and I wonder how Travel Softball programs are handling the current situation when it come to upcoming tryouts and the 2021 travel softball seasons in this changing landscape that seems to change daily.
VolleyBall Mom
1.) Automatically extending contract until the end of 2021 season.
2.) Only hold tryouts for potential new players.
(She didn’t really care for this, she wants her daughter to be hungry)
3.) Refund or reimbursement on tournament fee’s.
4.) let players tryout for new programs even if offer extending contract with no penalty for doing so)
