September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We hold this tournament to bring attention to this devastating issue while also helping a local family that is dealing with Childhood Cancer. This issue is close to the Crush Organization. One of the Crush family members has dealt with this issue personally. In March 2012 their 4 year old son was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. After a successful brain surgery and several treatments he is now cancer free.

I was watching the 10U for the entire tourney beyond the fence on field #3 and multiple times the 9u field was getting a little roudy. It was hilarious! He said/she said kinda stuff.... Quoting the bible and everything, and then saying 9 year old little girls are calling the other teams parents idiots, I can't make this stuff up.

Thanks for the feedback. This was a new location we moved to from where we usually hold our tournaments so we were a little nervous about how it would go and tried to plan for everything.

The results of all the games in each age division can be found on the tournament site at

We heard about some of the things that occurred over at that field late into Saturday. We had to issue a warning to two teams Saturday night and let them know that any issues on Sunday would result in ejections for parents and coaches if there were any additional issues on Sunday. I was able to make it over there a few times on Sunday and it seemed like everyone behaved.

Thank you to Kane and all his parents/coaches for a great weekend. Best part was seeing the young man that had beat cancer hand out the awards on Sunday. As stated above, great cause to support - looking forward to returning in future years.
