Divisions for this tournament will be limited to 10, 12 & 14U and each division winner will receive a USA/ASA national berth. Tournament is open to all ASA sanctioned teams (from any area) and teams can get sanctioned at the tournament. Location for this tournament is set for Kettering Fields softball complex in Dayton, OH, with two overflow facilities to be announced if needed.

The tournament format is two pool play games followed by a seeded double elimination bracket. Entry fee for this tournament is only $425 ($375 for 10u) per team and spaces in this tournament are limited (75 teams for all three divisions). Teams will be entered in this tournament on a first come, first serve entry fee/ registration basis. We have a good field for 12 & 14u but the 10u has been slow. Please help us get the word out OFC Nation! :)

FYI
Pool play games will be 80 minutes and no new inning. NO TIES
Bracket games will be 90 minutes & no new.

This should allow for most games to go complete.

This could be a really interesting event for the HighSchool Age Groups. A Real Chance for a sleeper team to steal a birth depending on who has kids still in the state tourney.

Wondering whether KY or IN High School finishes earlier the OH? If so, bet we see a few teams from out of state show up and maybe even from AZ, TX or other places like they did last year in Findlay to steal a birth knowing our HS DDs aren't available for travel ball yet.

Interesting? Wouldn't be surprised to see Arizona Hot Shots show up like last year.

So is there a forecast for a Cincy/Dayton/Columbus H1N1 relapse projected for this weekend??? LOL!

We shall see, but would love to see all these great teams at full force that early, as it should be a fantastic weekend.

should be interesting to see how our HS does in the post season this year and if my freshman pitcher (also my daughter ) will be available or if she will be on the hs post season roster.

Bummer! We would definitely like to see the Indiana teams involved in this tournament. We only had one weekend to get this going and we seized. We hear that there may be a 16u tournament with another USA/ASA berth for grabs in June. We will pass the word to everyone here if that comes to fruition.

Here is why we thought that this tournament would still be a viable option for elite 14u teams in Ohio.

-May 8 through May 15 - Sectional Tournament
-May 17 through May 22 - District Tournament
-May 26 through May 29 - Regional Tournament (only top 6-8 teams left)
-June 3 though June 5 - State Tournament

We are offering full refunds to teams that have to with draw from the tournament for school ball conflicts!

I am starting this teams list by popular request even though we announced this tournament just a week ago. Many of these teams are unconfirmed (or still considering) but they are all well known teams. I am not including teams from "out of the area" or unknown teams (by me) until we receive payment. Once payment is received, I will add these teams and note it next to their team name.

Put EMR 95 on the list I have 3 pitchers, and the other 2 are from OH so we should be able to play

Buckeye Heat 95 is leaning towards attending this. Will make a final decision this week.

Derek / Doug,

Any interest shown from Intensity?

Bill said that he had something planned that weekend. He said he would see about changing it so he could come down. I hope it works out and the INtensity can attend.
