Diamond Classic PGF Regional Qualifier June 24th-26th 2016
-Ages 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U
-5 Game guarantee Weather Permitting. 4 pool play games + single elimination bracket.
-Cost $450
-Spots Limited to 10 or 12 teams per Age Group. 10u plays on fields they can hit home runs on, not to easy usually around one or two per game. 12u-18U play on regulation size fields, 190'-200' fences.
-Location: River Valley Baseball for youth Complex, Marion Ohio. Very nice facility with huge real restrooms. No cooler restrictions.
-PGF dose a great job of bringing the best umps. We had many complements on the umps at are 2014 tournament.

On friday June 24th befor the games start we will have an all-star event for the Diamond Classic tournament. it will be modeled after a "college game day experience". We will ask each 14u 16u and 18u coach of teams that enter our tournament to nominate four players from there team. We will chose two or more from each team. We will then assemble two teams from the 14u nominated players, and four teams from the 16u/18u nominated players. We are in the process of putting together coaching staffs of current college coaches and players to coach each team.
Each player will be assigned a team. The teams will be with their assigned team and coaching staff for pre game approximately one hour, then a game against another team their age. Our goal is to have three pitchers and two or three catchers per team so they will pitch two or three innings each and catch three or four innings. We will try to limit each team to 12 or 13 players. We will bat the entire lineup unless a player does not want to bat for some reason. The teams will play a game 7 innings or a time limit 1:50 to 2:00. Two umps per game. We will charge $30 per player for this event. Just enough to cover expenses of paying coaches and umps. We hosted this event in June of 2015 and it was a huge success. I received Zero negative feedback from college coaches, players, travel coaches or anyone. It was an awesome event. All the college coaches that were involved loved it, and want to do it again in 2016 if their schedule allows.

Maximum per age group is 8-10. Teams participating are eligible to play in the PGF Midwest Regional Championships at the new LOUISVILLE SLUGGER complex in Peoria, IL. This is by far the best of the Regional Championships! Cost effective and five game minimum.
