I was asked by the Ohio Storm out of Mt Vernon, Ohio if the Doom people would be willing to open a 14u event. If so, they would like to come down and play.

Chris or Mike, please let me know... if you are willing to open up a 14u division. This coach is playing in my event in Dover this coming weekend. You can call me on my cell at 419-509-9907 and I can tell him at the tournament.

I think we could find 3 other 14u's to play.

This is turning out to be a nice group of teams in the 12u. Really looking forward to some good competition and meeting each of the teams.

We have two definites in the 10u division. I'd love to see a couple more jump in. With one or two more teams we could even run the 10u as a friendly on Sunday. Just wanted to throw another option out so teams could get a few more games in. If you're interested send me a message soon.

The pool play schedule is in the first post of this thread. The single elimination bracket games will be played Sunday at 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 2:00pm.

What a great weekend for softball this turned out to be. The weather was as good as you could hope for on the last weekend of October. The teams were great, the coaches, parents, and kids from every team were absolutely first class. We enjoyed meeting and competing against each of the teams.

We had some delays on Saturday while we got the fields playable. All of the coaches and teams were extremely understanding and incredibly forgiving of the circumstances. I can't thank all of you enough for that. Also, I want to thank the coaches and parents of our Doom '00 team for the help with this!

Congratulations to Coach Olsen, Coach Gregg, and the Cincy Slammers who won the championship over Coach Dewitt Harrel's Ohio Hawks team. The championship game was enjoyable to watch with some great pitching, very good defense, and timely hits.

I hope that everyone attending enjoyed this weekend as much as we did. We'd like to do this again next season, and it's our hope that each team had a good enough experience that they'll consider attending again. If you have any feedback, good or bad, please let us know.

I can't wait to compete against all of these teams in the spring/summer of 2012. Best wishes for a productive and injury free off season.

Chris and the entire Doom family, thank you! Not only did you guys put in all of that time working the field, you spent several hundred dollars on diamond dry and after all that you prepared your team to play, seriously thank you! I have been to several complexes that would never think of spending a dime on product and they charge admission. It ended up being a nice weekend and I hope you get better weather in the future and more teams, thanks again for all of your efforts, everyone appreciated it and we?ll certainly support you tournaments in the future.

Thanks Doom '00 , the Storm team had a great time ! We may not of gottin the results we were looking for but we learned alot and our girls beleive that they can compete with the 12u teams now ! Next year is a long ways away , but if we had to decide today we would come back next year to this tournament ! Thanks again , Ed Harris & the Ohio Storm '00 ! P.S., the umpires were very easy going and did a nice job !
