Here is the address (7940 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio). When I went there today i turned (Right) on (Home RD) off State Route 23, then you will have to follow the Detour Signs to get there, that road is (CLOSED) but the route gets you there in about 10min. So leave a little early..

Also tell little (STAT) thanks for getting all those balls that went into the woods in our game this morning (Force), and stop hitting on my WIFE!!!:lmao:

Doom 95 is the real deal...very nice team...they came to play (and hit!), we didn't. Good luck tomorrow ladies!

Long hard but fun day yesterday for Buckeye Heat 95. Won our first game against Miami Valley Vipers in ITB 3-1; lost 4-3 in two inning ITB to Stingrays Wiley; won against our sisters from the North in bottom of the final inning; and won against EMR 8-6.

Off to play Madness Black; from what we've heard it will also be a struggle.

Left in the Loser's bracket: Madness Black, Buckeye Heat 95, Central Ohio Lady Vipers, Doom 96, Ohio Ice Silver, the winner of HOO Rush v. Storm (not reported yet), the winner of Champion Fastpitch v. Ohio Danger, and the Lasers Black. Good stuff.

Great games at 12u...

Hawks 98 Black went 1-1 in Pool play with 12-4 win over Buckeye Heat 97, and 5-2 loss to the ICE. Bracket play started with 3-2 win over Stringrays 97, 5-1 loss to Lasers Red and 3-1 ITB win over the Heat 97. Next up Doom '97/Nitro winner - IF the rain stops...

Buckeye 97 game last night was a classic. Both teams played incredible defense with diving catches, double plays, and great pitching. Heat tied it 1-1 in bottom of the 7th with a bomb to LF with a runner on and they had bases loaded with no outs... we got out of the inning with a great play in OF and our pitcher stepping up. In ITB we scored 2 with a shot to LF that allowed the batter to score on an overthrow of third. Bottom of ITB, Heat girl hits a rocket to LC that our LF makes a all out running, lunging catch on, regained her balance and threw a strike to 2nd to double up the runner...

It was probably the best played, overall exciting game we have played this season ... Hat's off to the both teams, coaches and parents ... both teams showed great sportsmenship and heart, it was a game that we all will remember for a long time.

IF the radar map is dependable , big IF , I don't see how the gapss folks get the tourney finished. heck at just the 16-18u age group they are playing at multiple locations . maybe 5-6-7 ? I don't see grounds crew being available to fix that many fields up, at sites that are not together. hopefully I'm wrong. If I am there is going to be some serious late night softball. MD

tourney cancelled for sunday. that really ****s to stay overnight to play on sunday but as Clark Griswold told the kids on vacation " relax and enjoy it, it's all part of the experience" MD

It's too bad they couldn't have thought of something to get a few of the 16/18 games in on Sunday. I'm sure the coach of XXX University who stayed to see a certain pitcher this morning was probably glad to go watch a 12U game instead, get an early start on the class of 2017.

There were only a handful of teams in 16/18 who went 4-0 in pool play, wish they could have tried to at least get them together to play out a few games and decide it on the field.

No perfect answer. Teams who went 3-1 will complain that their pool was strong and others not as strong. But is runs allowed or differential any different in that regard? With so many teams and the weather, nothing will satisfy everyone. But IMHO, to call off 16/18 completely at a showcase tournament and then play out the 10s, 12s, and 14s while four or five teams at 18 go home 4-0 with no chance to play each other doesn't seem right.

The 10U games were supposed to start at 9am this morning, and all games for the day were cancelled by 9:15am. We decided to stay in town and find something to do since we already were there, and saw that the rain had stopped by 10:15am. We later went by the 10U field at noon, and the field looked playable. The championship game between the lasers and dragons, looked about ready to go, as both teams were warming up. This was several hours BEFORE the scheduled time for the title game ! With those extra hours, they could have gotten in all the games scheduled... Throw in that they ran out of tournament t-shirts on Friday, and you have a tournament that was run poorly... I guess they got their money...
