My daughter was on one of the teams that lost their first game and then got sent home. ?I saw all the time and effort they put forth at our venue to get the fields ready. ?Yes I was disappointed about not getting to play more games but at least they tried to get the fields ready!!
Up in Maumee at the Classic tourney they didn't even attempt to remove the first drop of water and completely cancelled Championship play, leaving it up to a coin flip. ?Stay far away from the Classic tourney until they change TD. ?Mike and Greta you did a great job getting done what you got done. ?Would be happy to come back!

Lady Knights,

Thanks for the kind words. ? Information (and perhaps invitations) ?will be going out soon, stay posted for our tournament next year, July 14-16, 2006.

I think this was part of the problem that a few people had with our tournament, that they didn't see the crews working hard on all the fields, as you did. ?It all depended on what mother nature was serving us, and when the crews could get on the fields and not do more damage than good. ?I can tell you, I am in charge of the grounds crews, and we had more than 40 people assigned to grounds crews at each venue, along with a truck load of diamond dry to help them. ? ?

Some venues got hit much harder with rain, and heavy rain at that, that it was extremely difficult to stay up with the rain. ?We tried our best, ?but I know we have lot of work to do to keep up with the expectations of our teams in our tournament. ?I can appreciate that and I will do everything in my (our) power to change a few opinions of us. ? ?We want this to be a tournament where teams love to come to...Hang in there...we will continue to do our best.

Mike
