GAPSS update for 2006

We are updating our website. You can now download the registration form from the site, www.gapss.org

Also, teams entered so far will be announced Nov. 5. From that point on, the website will be updated when teams are added/deleted.

We expect roughly 5-10 openings per divisions after deadline for returning teams expires Nov. 1st. Keep in mind postmarks are very important for NEW teams.

Update:

Thank you to all teams who have sent in their information for 2006 tournament. Registrations are going well. Please keep in mind that if you received an invitation to enter, you have until November 1st (postmark) to get the registration form and check to us. Any new teams can send in their info as well (with $150 down payment check), and we will go by postmarks for additions to 2006 field.

We will have an organization meeting November 4th and this site will be updated with teams entered on November 7. Website will be updated November 9.

A few updates about the 2006 tournament:

1) Up to date entries will be announced tomorrow morning, Tuesday November 8 (check us out after you vote, ha)

2) We have decided to have the 16u and 18u divisions at Liberty High School and Liberty Park. College coaches have told us it would be easier to scout with them together. This way, both of these divisions are now within 1/2 mile of each other. Keep in mind that Liberty Park fields will all have 200' fences with foul poles.

3) The 14u division will now be at Olentangy High School and Orange Middle School. 3 great fields for this exciting division.

4) Extensive work has been done on Arrowhead fields, where the 12u division will play next year.

Ohio Ice has joined us for the 10u division. This division is one of the toughest 10u brackets I have seen in a while.

I agree ,...this U10 bracket looks like it could be a battle grounds for some great action .
Anyone that witnessed the Stingrays and the Doom at the Classics tourney should be real excited to see that matchup again.

Championship game ended in one of the most exciting tie breaker games ever,...the Doom prevailed 5-4 .

The 10u division has been historically a very tough division to fill teams with. ?Some tourneys have done away with the whole division, which to me is sad, but what can you do when no one signs up? ?Tough call no doubt.

It seems like the teams we are attracting are top of the shelf. ?I will say one thing, these teams like to play other good teams. ?It should be a fun weekend for the girls.
