John Kruk was great when he did the CWS, but I think a lot of people got mad that they didn't have a female doing color. Kruk admittedly was learning some differences between baseball and fastpitch, but that also prompted him to ask some great questions, and to continue questioning certain things that didn't make sense to him, such as why was everyone sac bunting with some of their best hitters.

In baseball, the networks won't hire an ex-player who is afraid to criticize or question. In softball, they won't hire one who will.

I agree - Liked Kruk doing color, he was asking the questions I'm sure a lot of people watching Fastpitch for the first time had. Plus he does a great job.

Kruk was funny. That was the most enjoyable CWS that's been on tv. I didn't have to mute once. In fact, I didn't want to miss his time there. Now I don't want to have men taking over the press box but I think we need to make changes very soon.
