HITTING CLASS
Classes are designed to focus on the fundamentals of the swing with an emphasis on power and teaching the hitter to make solid contact in all areas of the strike zone. With younger hitters we will focus on swing mechanics including footwork, hip drive, and bat path to and through contact with extension and follow through.
Recommended for athletes of any age.
MENTAL SKILLS TRAINING/HITTING CLASS
This is a unique class that will utilize mental training techniques to improve confidence and performance with a focus on improving bat speed, power, and hitting mechanics. The first 45 minutes will be devoted to mental training activities with 45 minutes of hitting utilizing tee drills, front toss, video analysis and implementing mental approach to hitting. Mental training topics and activities include goal setting, understanding focus, improving confidence, use of routines to develop more consistent play, use of visualization to train your subconscious mind and ways to improve self talk and focus. Coach Linder attributes her championship successes formula to these mental training techniques that are proven to help improve confidence and performance.
Recommended for 14U, 16U, 18U, and High School age athletes. Designed for teams and individuals.
ADVANCED HITTING CLASS
This class is for the experienced hitter who already has good swing mechanics and wants to improve their ability to hit for power and improve their mental approach at the plate. Recommended for varsity level athletes or athletes who have had previous hitting training from Grand Slam and are experienced high level travel ball athletes. Permission from Grand Slam for athletes that are younger than 15.
