Fairmont is young but athletic with 3 freshmen that are studs 1 is a pitcher that will have a big impact on gwoc but with new coaching staff and young players will be a slow start but will surprise some people by middle of the year full of select girls from static buckey heat valley storm hammers starting 9 all play select so they will compete

Well-here is where its gets fun.

Fairmount has had select players for years but at some point they have to make a run come tourny time to be taken seriously. Just dont see them being a power in the GWOC unless the new coach makes some big changes.

I totaly agree with you all I was saying is we have the talent to compete lets see where that takes us we have speed pitching and athletes but we are young last year middle school went 15 and 0 in gwoc that team will all be together at varsity level next couple years so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out for the future of Fairmont softball

I'm just glad you're talking about something. No one is doing much this year. Maybe it is early. Crappy Ohio weather. Can't even get outside and we have a game in less than two weeks.....but it'll at least be in Florida!!!

Its was a beautiful day for the new Lady Wave Stadium and the girls came out ready to rock. Big matchup Tuesday for the Wave against Lebanon.

Piqua improves to 7-1 knocking off Troy 2-0 in 9 innings. The 4 seniors in Piqua have something to prove, 3 of the 4 are coming off injury wrecked seasons last year.

Piqua is now 14-1 after knocking off Butler tonight. Kaity McCawley went 3-3 and 3 hrs (all OTF). Piqua will see what they are made of Thursday and Friday: Springboro and Lebanon.

Greenville is D2, and although it was controversial game, they also beat Lebanon at Greenville. I know the GWOC North is weak outside of Piqua, but I would hold off on calling their schedule weak.
