Hawks Spring Friendlies Registration
Dates: May 14th in Hamilton
Team will play 3 games 1:20 each, no new inning. That keeps us on a 90 min game schedule. We will ask the umpires to keep a tight strike zone, no more than a ball width off the plate to encourage hitting and action!
Cost is $120/team to cover balls, fields and umpire. Fields will be lined and prepared and there will be a single umpire at each field. No parking or gate fee. There will be a small concession stand set up.
We are looking for 4-6 10u teams and 6-8 12u teams each date. I hope no one takes offense to this but we would like the teams to established and competitive. We want the games to be as balanced as possible - at 10u especially we would like teams to come that have solid pitching.
We hope to be able to challenge every team with good pitching and hitting...
If you would, put what you think your teams 'rating' is in the notes field - A or B .. A being very tough, B solid. We will make every effort to put the teams of same rating on the dirt together.
Rules:
- Roster bat mandatory.
- Courtesy runner - last out in lineup
- After 1st inning, 1 warmup pitch, next one down.
- unlimited substitution
Note: We have to pay a little more for the fields than we had hoped.. to break even on umpires, fields and balls we had to set the cost $120
