Good outlook Dan, it's for sure a process. A little tough with COVID but the head coach has for sure put his time and effort into many girls at the younger level but it takes time to pay off. He's even a TB coach that post on our boards and is very active in the TB circuit as well as locally. This new coach took over recently, so the program is just coming out of shambles. Not even sure if he will be around after his daughter graduates, maybe my DD will talk him into it.

are there any summer camps put on by the head coaches to try and get more players involved? or maybe the coaches can go to local rec programs during the summer and to try and "sell" their program a little better at the younger ages. Maybe get more involved at the middle school level. There are a lot of things that you can do to try and help get players interested and involved. I agree there are definitely different type of players and levels of commitment. Even fearful players.... players that are not travelball players might be afraid to even go out for the team for fear of being rejected. anyhow... good luck!
Yes sir. I have already reached out to our local rec program myself, and would love to do a camp next year or off season. We will see how things go this year.

I need to install my systems, so my players have had enough experience in it to run a camp effectively. Right now I am hitting the ground running, trying to change some conceptions and instill some new softball knowledge to some of the girls. I am bringing in Michaela Minner for a camp with Varsity, a few days before our first game, she will kick start them like noone else can, lol.

I heard! She texted me Wednesday night, she was so excited! She is a solid ball player and a good kid - and a heck of a bowler! I am looking at her as my SS, and CF when she rotates to OF with a top of the order bat and speed. She just needs some reps to improve her consistency and footwork. Good luck this year!
