Hit by batted ball

Here is the situation.... Bases loaded with one out and the runner going from first to second is hit by the batted ball where the fielder had a chance to make a play. I believe the runner is out but where should the runners be placed since it is a dead ball once the ball hit the runner? Do the runners advance or go back to the base they started on when the pitch was made?

Dead ball. All runners return to original bases.

That is kind of vague!
So are you saying the Batter is out if all BR's returning to original base?

I know the answer, just trying to see who you actually have out in this situation???

Batter is placed in first base. All runners return to the last base attained at the time of the interference, unless forced to advance by the batter being placed on first base.
