"timing is all screwed up!"
My dd knows a player who always (not always but a lot) hits to the right side, as a right handed hitter. A lot of kids hit the ball to that side when my dd is pitching, especially in league play. I finally said look her dad has taught her to hit to the right side, that player isn't late and she doesn't have bat drag. She is trying to hit it over there! And it's smart to do. I think most players don't put the amount of time it takes to be able to hit the ball to a certain field, most are happy to just get a hit.
I like that video Straightleg posted! That's what I've learned, not that my kid can actually do that, but IMHO that's correct.
