If she is looking for a team for next year, please have her text me - Ohio Thunder 007!!!! Hehehehehehehe
That is awesome, I was watching game on other field when a 10U player hit one over 200' fence at Cincy Metro this weekend.
Unfortunately not many fields we play on are set at 180, or we would have close to 10 so far this summer........
We had three girls hit bombs this weekend at the 10U Laser tournament. The Laser people said they were about 180' fences. That was the perfect distance for a 10U tournament. It takes a very good hit to get it over the fence, but hard line drives to the fence don't turn into triples and HR's because they roll forever. I wish all the 10U fences were set up at that type of distance. It makes it a better, and more competitive 10U division.
Sure is and that first one will always be the one I remember the most the look on the face and the big hug she wanted from the coach after was just as special...
Thanks for all the information. It was my daughters first over the fence homerun. Hopefully many more next year as she finishes up her last year of 10u.
I wish all 10 fences were set at 160--175. I agree it stops the endless roll in the outfield and in the park HR that really should be a double or triple. It would make a little more work for the TD's but I would be willing. The Mogadore qualifier does just this. Every year I have been to Mogadore there is always 1 girl that tattoos 1 or 2 for the weekend. It is awesome to see those girls get so excited.
