We were Indiana the weekend before, drop dead format, and the game could not end in a walk.
In Atlanta Legacy, if you get four balls, then you can request a new 0-0 count. There are solutions to all off this.

I like it!

(P.S. It seems like some travel ball coaches think that colleges are there to watch them...)

Another solution is to limit the amount of teams and play 7 innings. This game was meant to play 7 innings and not be timed. The main reason for timed games at tournaments these days is to get more teams and therefor make more money. I have yet been to a tournament worth $600.00 plus dollars but if you want to play quality teams you have to pay it. Unfortunately this game has gotten way out of hand on all ends of the spectrum. Every tournament should be 7 innings played or until run rule is in effect, ESPECIALLY showcases.

Why have any "run rule" in showcases? Or why even keep score? College coaches don't care who wins. You're there to show what your players can do. They will get the most exposure if everybody plays 7 innings.

In Colorado there were no run rules.
If you want quality games against quality competition, then host friendlies. You control cost, time limits, etc.
