The team is coached by non-parent coaches who have been with majority of the team since their 9u year. In 2016, we recruited a current collegiate player to join the coaching staff. She specializes as a lefty slapper. We tend to return about 80% of the roster year to year. This year we are looking for a total of 11-13 on the roster, and are more specifically looking for a strong catcher, utility player, and outfielders. We are also looking to add lefty slappers to the line up, we currently only have 1.
We will play 2-3 fall tournaments, 7-8 Summer tournaments, and will attend a Nationals/World Series event if we qualify. We plan to practice throughout the fall and spring/summer. Due to the age of the players, we may take part of the spring off for school ball (this will be evaluated once final roster is created). We plan to practice 1 weekday and weekend day each week. Last year our fees ran about $600 per player, and we are considering the same amount again for the 2017 season.
We are based in the central Ohio area. Practices for 2016 were held in Waldo, Galion, Marengo, and Delaware, and we plan to do the same for 2017.
