Alright - let's get back on track!!

16u and 18u is closed off. We have one more 16u that may enter - I will know by tomorrow and will update accordingly.

We have combined the 12u and 14u for now. I will hold off as long as possible for the 12u and 14u, but we need some more teams to make this happen. C'mon 12s and 14s! The weather has been crappy the past couple of weekends - let's play some softball in Goshen this coming weekend!!!

I am posting this message for Marie as she is on the road right now.

All schedules for the 18u and 16u teams will be here online by 6am on Tuesday.

14u and 12u tournament is open until Wednesday at 7 pm and schedule will be posted at 9 pm on Wednesday night.



This is my (Ohioquakerman) message:

Due to one team wanting to get in the event because one other tournament cancelled elsewhere... I think it is reasonable to ask the teams to wait until 6am on Tuesday morning. That's only 9 hrs people and it will be posted here online.. in this thread. Marie will also mail the schedule to the coaches as well in the morning We can wait nine hours for these disappointed girls to be able to play. Thank you for your support and look for the schedule by 6am right here in this thread.

Lets just get this schedule out and be done!! Teams with girls in Fall sports are affected by this schedule. I have girls close to 4 hours away and may have to find subs if the schedule doesn't work in our favor. Three days is not a reasonable amount of time to have to search for pickup players and I know I am not the only team with this problem. If all the 18U teams are in then give us a schedule!!

You dont have a problem with it because you dont live 3 1/2 hours away. You had a cut off date stick to it, if teams wanted in they should of got in. We have played in tournaments 7 years now and have never received a schedule this late ever. Why dont you just make all the teams show up at 7 am on Sat. and give us the schedules then?

I'll add a thanks to Marie. She did not have to but worked us in after we were washed last weekend and Berliner Cancelled. Doesn't know us but felt our pain.

The Buckeye Heat 15U squad really appreciates the oppourtunity.

Ok folks - everyone needs to just calm down. I live in the Cleveland area so I'm driving almost 5 hours to get to the park. But if you knew me, you would already know that. I apologize for the change/delay in getting the schedule out to the coaches, but things happen and I am doing my best to get everything right so there are NO changes after the schedule is sent and posted.

As for tribefan - I have been coaching for many years as well and that is simply not a true statement. For many ASA/USA tournaments, we get the schedule a few days before the tournament.

Lady Knights, you requested certain start times and I'm honoring those. Please stop bashing me and this tournament on here. There is more to scheduling than simply saying this age group will play at X times and this age group will play at Y times. Again, I'm doing my best.

That was cutting her some slack. If i would have wrote what I wanted too, I would have been suspended. Yes it is about the girls, but without us parents the girls couldnt play. We have jobs so that we can pay for them to play, along with those jobs , we have to make arrangements to get time off of work to get to the tournaments. Its called being considerate, and 3 days isnt enough time to make those arrangements, and that is INconsiderate.

Tribe - give it a rest. I apologized above and explained myself as to why there was a change to my original time as to when I planned to have the schedules. It's not even a 24 hour difference. If you have a problem, call me to discuss it. I don't hide behind any of my posts and I have fully explained the situation. We are not starting as early as originally planned and we are not playing on Friday. I am not going to respond to you on here any longer as I don't even know who you are. If you have any further issues, you can call me and talk to me directly.

I in no way bashed you Marie or your tourney in my last post. But you have been coaching long enough to know that waiting till 5 days before the start of a tourney to post a schedule is not a good way of running a tourney let alone your first.

Initially the cut off date was the 22nd, and on the 22nd you posted that the 18's were FULL. You then posted that the 26th would now be the cut off date and you would be closed out if not in by then.

It is now the 28th and you are still waiting on teams to get in, the 18's have been closed for a week and could easily post a schedule but we are waiting on a 15U to commit!!! What part of this am I not understanding and being ridiculed about!!!

I choose to come to your tourney over a month ago. It's not my problem or even a concern of mine which teams choose to go elsewhere but then got hosed. I have parents breathing down my back for a schedule and they aren't as understandng as the younger coaches on here flapping their lips because they don't have HS players in fall sports and college coaches wondering why they can't get a schedule for a tourney less than a week away.
