***All teams must check in at the S2 press box before the team’s first game.***
1. The Tournament Directors reserves the right to change the tournament format at any time due to weather or any unforeseen circumstances. No rain date is planned.
2. The tournament fee for this four (4) game minimum format tournament is $450.00 (U.S.). Planned format is three pool games with all teams advancing to single elimination tournament. All teams should be prepared to play Friday at noon; however we will give special consideration to out of area teams when possible.
3. In case of rain, managers are responsible for contacting Dave Matz or George Dravecky to confirm game times and any additional rescheduling.
4. Registration is limited to a maximum of 60 teams on a first paid, first entered format.
**no uneven brackets. To keep divisions even LSFPC reserves the right to shut down entry to an age division.**
5. A team trophy will be given to the 1st place and 2nd place teams in each age bracket. Player medals will be given to the 1st place team in each age bracket.
6. ASA rules will govern most play. Tie breakers for seeding (if necessary) to the Single Elimination Bracket of the tournament are (in order): Win-Loss Record, Head to Head Results, Runs Allowed, Runs Scored; and then coin toss.
7. During pool play a coin toss will determine the Home team for each game. During elimination play, the higher seeded team will have the choice of being the Home or Away team. The Home team will be responsible for keeping the Official Scorebook and reporting the final score; all scores must be text to Dave Matz at 330-519-5389 within twenty minutes of completion of the game.
8. Scheduled game time is the forfeit time (NO GRACE PERIOD). All teams must be at the field and prepared to play 15 minutes before scheduled game time.
9. All pool play games will be 7 innings or a 75 minute time limit, finish the inning. If the score is tied, the game will result in a tie. Semi-Finals games will be 7 innings or an 75 minute time limit, finish the inning with no new inning started after 75 minutes. If the score is tied, the last scheduled batter in the inning will start on second base, per ASA tie breaker rules. This will continue until there is a winner. Championship games will be 7 innings, no time limit. If tied, they will be played until there is a winner.
10. Teams may bat their roster for pool-play . During elimination play, teams may only bat 9 with the ability to use a DP/Flex.
11. A mercy rule will apply to all games as outlined by ASA Softball (12,10, 8). Coaches are responsible for knowing the team’s schedule and being aware of any changes.
12. There will be a $75.00 “rules” protest fee due, payable in cash, at the time of the protest. The fee will be refunded to the protesting team if the protest is ruled in their favor. No protests will be allowed for judgment calls.
13. A $3.00 daily per person entrance fee will be charged on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Twelve (12) and under are admitted free. Two coaches and all rostered players will be admitted free each day.
14. The Lady Spartan Fast Pitch Club, the Fields of Dreams, Boardman Community Baseball, and ASA/USA Softball, will not be held responsible for any accident or injury during this tournament.
15. All parents, fans, and players are to OBEY any parking regulations posted or instructions given or they will be subject to having their vehicle towed. BCB DOES NOT PERMIT PETS, GRILLS, STERNO CHAFING DISHES, ALCOHOL, GOLF CARTS, SEEDS, CHEWING GUM, TOBACCO USAGE OF ANY KIND, OR RV’S AT THE COMPLEX.
16. SMALL coolers with water and drinks are permitted.
17. No warm-ups allowed on playing fields. Hitting balls against backstops and fences is not permitted. Warm-up areas will be provided on lower quad.
18. Concessions will be available. Seating around diamonds is limited, bring chairs, please adhere to social distancing guidelines.
19. WEATHER, AND ITS EFFECT ON THE FIELDS, IS BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE. NO RAIN DATE.
20. Refunds due to weather are as follows:
