Holy crap folks. Cant we all just get along? hahahahaha
I for one am a happy sumbitch that OSU won the National Championship, did they deserve to be there? Your damn right they did! Did the Big 10 have bowl success this yr? Your damn right they did! Is the Big10 a weak conference........ummmmmm..... probably. Ohio State is by leaps and bounds the best team in the country, to handle Oregon the way they did on D, and run the football down there throats like they did is proof enough, at least for me. Theres always gonna be haters, hey you root for "your" team. Theres nothing wrong with that. The big discussion for a while was did Ohio State deserve the #4 spot? Point proven that yes they obviously did. Is Oregon a great team? Oh yeah they are, best QB in college football. Mariota is a class act, a great student and probably a good kid. At the end of the day, OSU wins it all in dominant fashion, BIG10 finally has bowl success, and the SEC finally doesnt have bowl success. In my opinion, the BIG10 is not the strongest conference, but they do have the strongest team in the country. It will be interesting next season to see what Meyers is going to do about the QB situation? My opinion, stay with Jones, proven he can win the big games!

Bingo on every point! I believe they were one of the four best teams at the start of the playoff. I feel TCU should have been there instead of Florida State, but they were undefeated and were the champs the prior year. I wish they would go to a 6 team playoff where #1 and #2 get a bye week.

Jones goes pro since he is getting older and having kids while Barrett and Miller are duel threat quarterbacks.

Paul, Paul, Paul.......Barrett and Miller are not near the threat Jones is.

I would respectfully disagree - JT had an incredible season. As did Jones!
2834 yards passing 34td
938 yards rushing 11td
Those stats are nothing to sneeze at.
What a great problem for Myer to have. He can’t go wrong

I would also point out that Elliot had a fanastic three game stretch as well.

JTB played one tough team - Michigan State. JTB also lost to VT. Jones played the toughest teams and dominated. Also, the reason Elliot had three great games was because of Jones.

Paul, I say BM should stay at OSU and become a WR. He does not have a future as a QB in the NFL. Truth be told, neither does Barrett. Barrett is talented, no doubt, and would start at QB for most colleges. Jones is something special. He made everyone around him better. If his head's screwed on straight there's nobody better at QB in the country.....not even JTB.

would have to agree with Lenski on some points. for one Jones has a cannon and is not afraid of attacking any D back with it. JTB had a great season no doubt, in my opinion though....OSU doesn't win the National championship with either Barret or Miller. MIller is not a very good passer IMO, Barret is a much better passer than Miller but not as good as Jones. At the end of the day Jones beat the best there was to beat from the SEC, BIG10, ad PAC12.

Agree 99%.... no NFL future for Braxton at QB, but not so sure with JTB, would rather make that judgement after he plays another 2 yrs and develops. Jones HAS to be the QB next year. Seriously, how do you bench the guy who just decimated the WI defense in his first real game, beats AL in his 2nd game and then wins the national championship for his 3rd?! JTB needs to work on his passing while Jones takes over next year and then moves on to the NFL. JTB then has another 1-2 yrs to be the man for OSU.

I like the way you think Larry and TJ. This morning ESPN had an interesting stat. For passes thrown 20 yards or longer down the field from the line of scrimmage, BM and JTB have a completion percentage of about 35%. Jones' percentage is 57%.......against the better teams. What does stretching the field do for you? It opens up the running game. Want proof? Check out Ezekiel's numbers by game. He was a monster the last three games.
