Yeah didnt cancel but with 50 min game limits and no lines what so ever on fields....
maybe cancelling would have been better. But it was great to drive to Columbus to play a local team only to lose due to stall tactics...

I thought they (TD) did the best they could under the circumstances. The 50 min games ****ed, but what are you going to do. We did not win but I feel we did well, we were #1 seed in our pool and did not go one and out on Sunday. Lady Irish was a good team and we (my opinion) were out of gas. Our girls cried at the end, not becasue of their lose, but because it was the end of our season. It was hard for all of us to leave after the game becasue we all get along so well; we must have spent an hour saying goodbye, even though we will see each other in two weeks! We will be back next year as an older 14u team.

Yes I agree not much else that could be done. Just disappointed that we lost due to shortened time that was taken advantage of by a rude team. Poor sportsmanship by parents & coaches. Without stalling it could have been a different game. They ran down the clock to avoid an extra inning being started. But its ok. Just a sad way note to end on. But can't do anything about it.

Here is a better one! Show up to play at 9:30. At 2PM we found out we have the field , since the team from Livoinia Mich. was told they were not going to allow them to finish the game that started at 0800. I felt bad for them. Walk on the field knowing we have a 50 min game. Umpires tell us you have only 36 MIN"s. They started the clock while the field crew was trying to get the field ready to play. So we play only 3 innings to a Tie and have to play the fourth as a ITB. That is not softball! Might have just tossed a coin . Both teams were very upset.

I thought overall it was a great experience. Considering, there is 32 fields, different teams with different start times, and very limited crews. It was just as difficult for the umpires as it was for us to judge fair and foul balls. Umpires for us, at least, was the best group we have had all year. The only cluster was the opening ceremonies and the parade. Too long when it was too hot. Secondly, the fact the sold the weekend passes 1 day only. Several parents had to shell out $15 for the weekend, because their dd's were car pooled.

Correct, sold only on Thursday. The cost was $10.00. I only knew as we were rushing for the 10U pitching contest since dd was in it. Heard a lady tell a customer this was the only day they would sell them. Stopped me in my tracks. Had older dd take her sister to the contest while I fork out the money for the contest.

Sounds typical for a city park. We didnt get in until Friday morning....couldnt take Thursday off. Oh well. It was a decent weekend. Don't know if I would go back or not. No lines on Sunday....at all not even first game. I mean how long does it take to put lines on the field...I guess the guy supervising the field workers didnt feel they were necessary. Afterall it wasnt him trying to judge fair or foul...or dishing out the money to play or watch your child play only to have guesses made by umps trying their best.

it was a long day. 5 games all back to back but overall it was great. would have liked it if the games were not shortened on sunday but at least we got to play ball.

The Ohio Ice won the 10U, I think the score was 4-3 over the Classics but not positive. Congrats Ice and the Classics on a all OHIO finals.

Ohio Power lost a close one to the Adrian Lookouts in the Semis. 14U Power went 7-1 on the weekend!

Nice job Ice and Classics(10U). Kudos to the Ice, played them alot this year and they are a tough bunch.
We lost to the Classics in elimination...great bunch of hitters and coaches. Coach made a point to give our girls some nice compliments post game huddle.....lots of class. Classics parents were huddled pre-game with us in shaded area and blended right in. Good group they have.
Shout out to our 14U Ohio Power team......I saw them play Saturday and they were tearing the hide off the ball. Really caught fire at the end of the year. Nice finishes on back-to-back weekends.

I had a gripe about the field lines also, until I seen the field guys busting their hump just to get the fields even playable. That's a lot of diamonds to get up and running, not to mention it was Sunday ( no room to push anything back). I'm sure nobody would have liked for their game time to be shortened while the field crews chalked lines. I'm just glad we were able to play ball ( even if we did go one and done).
