I was reading that the NCCA has extending the dead period until July 31st.

Can anyone explain how this will effect recruiting?

Unfortunately, seniors without offers will be a tough spot. No contact with coaches this summer, an extra year of eligibility for current college players, and NCAA slashing payouts to schools by 2/3. And for the next few yews, I think it’s going to be rare for high school players to receive a meaningful athletic scholarship unless the coach anticipates the recruit will start their freshman year. I hope I’m wrong...

Will College Coaches be allowed to attend College showcases before July?

DI and DII will not be there. DIII, NAIA, and JUCO will be there. Because of all this we have been getting a lot of college coaches requesting us to use a streaming site for games. Our Recruiting coordinator has set us up with Our girls have been hammering the emails.
Unfortunately for these Athletes that have not committed yet its going to be tough. You have an extra year of eligibility for the seniors and you have athletes entering the portal to transfer. I believe there's a home for all these athletes. You just have to find the right school and right fit for the athletes.

All of us had better pray that NCAA football happens in the fall, or there will be allot more programs being cut next year.
